Is it considered piracy to hi jack someone else's mission?
I saw another player flashing yellow while in a fleet. He came in my mission and so must have had some way to reach me. Either he D-Scanned me or had the same mission randomly issued.

Combat probes. D-scan won't let someone warp to you and missions are always in their own space.
If he was flashing yellow he was probably suspect, maybe stole from one of your wrecks. |

lol, I could go and check it out now... It only requires some normal probes. I was actually going to get my bomber pilot who also has Covert Ops V for Covert Ops exploration ship who use those probes.
I can take some screenshots of the LP store. I forgot the requirements. I almost finished that mission, Angel Extravaganza, but I'm in pocket 2 or 3 of 5. It goes on until later on this week on the 13th.
Either way, the calculations are , at my current rate, $15 for 5 hours = 75% of 1 PLEX worth (now at $19.95). I'd have made the equivalent of 572.25m ISK. Instead of 20m or 40m, or 60m , or 80m and 5 hours of work . + the time to count it. The money needed for my fiancee to get the internet (she finally got it after 3 years, but has a hard time to get the message.) So yes, more than 10,000% to 20,000% more profitable for me to get PLEX and trade on Bazaar instead of training. Even better than risking any targeting or bombs.

Generally people warping in to your mission area are trying to either steal wrecks, steal your mission objective and ransom it back to you or gank your mission ships.
There was this one time someone warped into my mission and started shooting the rats. As the particular mission was just kill rats anyway and I was blitzing for LP I just warped out and left them to it. |

One more thing.
People hijack missions all the time. Particularly missions where you need to pick up something and deliver to the agent. Missions like Cargo Delivery, Damsel in Distress, etc. Life is short and dinner time is chancy Eat dessert first! |

If someone steals your loot they become suspect and everyone is allowed to shoot them. Now if they're just salvaging your wrecks for free that's allowed. |

Yes it is considered piracy to hijack your mission. Yes, it is an allowed ingame activity. Deal with it. If you see them blinking flashy yellow, you can shoot them. |

Probably the most common mission objective hijacking occurs in the Epic Arcs. There are people who do nothing else but steal Epic Arc mission objectives and ransom them back. |

By shooting him it doesn't give others in his fleet the ability to shoot you. The engagement is with only those you shoot at. However nothing stops him from changing into a different ship. |

The only ones that could shoot you were the ones you specifically shot at. It's generally not a good idea to engage in PVP when you're flying a PVE fitted ship though. |

I know EvE is spreadsheets in space, but do you really document EVERY move you make? Most questions you post already got perfectly nice answers to them online. Be it mission guides or LP to isk conversions.
Also how would posting on the forums make it easier for you to detect someone entering your mission pocket!? |

With an Expanded forum probe launcher II of course
I think he means posting on the forums has attracted attention where people want to scan him down. It's hard to believe with the good nature of his posts though

Also how would posting on the forums make it easier for you to detect someone entering your mission pocket!? No, I meant, that by posting on the forums my mission location makes it easier for others to find me. Also, it makes it easier for me to find out who reads what and who trades alliances with who. I also get offers to join corps. More rarely offers to infiltrate mine. But that is potential intel that is beside the point, which you asked for.
I joined corps before, but that's also besides the point now. (I wouldn't want my kid led in the same, you must have done something wrong, you did wrong, you must have done something wrong, and so on routine. + The staff telling them they also did wrong while some schemers complaint to do nothing but control their accounts. Besides them lying it's for good faith and so on. I"m sure after it'd cost me over $1,000 + that it would be more than evident.)
More to the point, that information about knowing who spies on me is not much use. It costs more to post on the forums than I would get from PLEX .
I might not play for 2 years or longer, and EVE might even cease to exist by then. Enough testing and data gathering for me.
+I got injured at work today.

As for the info on Lar, you will not find it. You'd have to actually do the screenshot posted viewing and logical deduction + time to analyse and use the resources at your disposal. If you don't get a probe pinpointing, then get the same mission given at random for the same system. Odds are pretty slim of that since there are over 42 missions per level. And I will not only stress the word "over" but also underline it. (over)

Holy smokes you must be rich if you pay 1000$ per forum post, I mean that's WAY more than PLEX.
Jokes aside. Sucks to hear about your work injury and hope you stick around to EvE, scanning down someone running missions is usually simple. Specially in high-sec where most people don't check D-scan for Combat Probes. |
