No, I do not want to join a jump clone service.
Honestly am trying to grind up sec status so I can get jump clones any time I want on my alt, but am having a hard time grinding up. I'm currently at 5.91 real status. What is the best way to go up from here? |

Jump clone availability has nothing to do with sec status, which you generally can't get above 5.0 anyway.
It has to do with your standing with the corporation that owns the station you want to buy them at, which needs to be 8.0. It just takes awhile to grind it out. Level 4 security missions are the way to go, make sure your social skill is at least 4. Storyline missions also often provide a nice boost with the corp that offers them too.
Estel Arador is highly convenient though... any particular reason you don't want to do that? |

There was a service that used to be offered for free which involved installing a jump clone in a Rorqual, I don't think you had to join the pilot's corp. .

Actually they also give a good standing boost to the corp offering the data center mission as well. This makes corps such as Federation Navy and Ministry of War good options to get jump clone standing.
The two relevant skills you need trained to V are Social and Connections.
If you are not going for a data centre corp then SOE are one of the easiest to get high standing with.

I found the quickest way to grind the standings was to blitz level 2 and 3 missions in an Assault Frigate. Declining those missions which aren't blitzable.
Also the size of the npc corp used to have an affect on how quickly your standings increased. The smaller the corp the quicker they go up. You can find out how big the npc corp is through the show info panel. Not sure if that has been changed by CCP.
I would also recommend grinding the standings for one of the more obscure npc corps, so that you can let your corp mates make Jump Clones using your hard work. |

As mentioned, train the social skills that influence standing gains per mission.
I tried gaining standings with all kinds of corps on a character. As many as possible. Switched regions when the empire ones were dropping etc. I ended up with jumpclone standings for about 15 corps (almost 4 different corps per empire). I ran so many lvl4's....
Lets say I was in an odd / uneducated phase of my life :)
5,91 to 8,00 isnt that much. Keep running some lvl4 missions and you're good to go in a day or 2.

You could talk to Imiarr Timshae about his corp, The Standings Correction Agency. You log in, open a fleet invite, someone else grinds the standings for you. It doesn't get much easier than that.

Do Faction Warfare missions. Much faster, easier and potentially better paid than normal ones. And you'll get some faction standing on top of it.
Downside: you'll get shot at and lose some faction standing for the opposing factions (at much lower rate than you gain standing for the other two). I am the Herald of all beings that are me. |

Jump clones are available with 8.0 or greater standing with an NPC CORP. Faction means nothing. Can't imagine why you don't just Estel Arador it up, must be the moving around in a wardec that has you spooked. Seriously, one day, two max and you can have JCs wherever. That's after the Infomorph Psych train of course.
Edit: CONCORD sec status, also, has no bearing on jump clones. Goggles. Making me look good. Making you look good. |

Train the relevant social skills and be sure to run security missions from an agent in as low security status as possible. My experience is that you get more standings per mission that way but I could be wrong.
However, the LP rewards are substantially better. And make sure to blitz the missions, don't stick around to loot or salvage, it's not worth it. You could probably sell your bookmarks to one of the salvage corps. They pay you a share of the profits. I just undocked for the first time and someone challenged me to a duel. Wat do? |

like others have said, train connections and social to at least 4, 5 if you can handle it. Also, do your best to not think of it as grinding standings.

you know what, if they had low sec npcs that dropped faction standings tags like they do sec status tags, i'd be tempted to go in to low sec when i get bored and try and find some tags.
edit: actually, **** that i'd be more likely to just run incursions and buy them since i doubt i'd find enough to make it worth my while... however they'd still be awesome and add content for some other scrub. |
