There once was a man named D. He liked making ISK. He wanted to start a business where he buys up ores, refines them, and sells them on the market for a small profit. He also had a huge stockpile he needed to get rid of.
And so D began his journey. He found a good corp to grind standings with, CreoDron, which have refining stations in the locations he needs. Unfortunately he would have to use mining missions as the means of grinding this standing... awful.
After 50+ mining missions the standings were complete! D was ecstatic and began refining things left right and center. The profits rolled in and D was satisfied that the mind-numbing grinding - which took several hours each day over the course of several days - was well worth it.
Fast forward a few weeks and D decides to refine some recently acquired ores and ices. To his shock though, D is no longer receiving perfect refine! He is losing nearly 5% value, which amounts to a very large chunk of the profits he makes. Perhaps this isn't a CreoDron station and that's the problem. Nope, CreoDron station. Perhaps he is using the wrong toon, ah ha! Nope... correct toon.
What's the deal then? D decides to check his standing and to his shock, CreoDron standings have dropped nearly 3.0! How can that be... must be a bug he thinks. Or is it?
D then remembers a mail he recently received, from a mining NPC agent that was rather unsatisfied with his work - or lack thereof - in helping CreoDron. It would seem this dastardly agent took this single point of failure personally. How dare D, after completing 50+ missions for them, screw up a single time. There must be punishment for this. He must sit for another few days and torture himself yet again by completing 15-20 more mining missions for us! That'll teach him.
He was indeed taught. D learned a very valuable lesson that day. He learned that EVE is boring. He learned that EVE is dying. He learned that EVE is broken. That was the day D decided to just maintain his skill training and put his time for now towards a game that actually satisfied him. And no, you cannot have his stuff.
