Some thoughts I developed while doing sites.
Backstory:While scanning and hackling some sites across the cluster it came to my attention that the Relic sites where rather boring, old stuff from the pirate factions and the occasional Sleeper site in WH's.
Then I thought that these sites could have more "Archaeological" items and expand the EVE lore.
So after some tinkering and came up with these 2 ideas.1) "Ancestral sites"A new type of Relic site (with a different name to differentiate).
I know there are some relic sites of the old empires spawning around (which I find very rare at the moment and could be improved).
But there's no gameplay regarding the first settlers of the clusters, the ones that stepped through the EVE Gate in the beginning.
And with that, little Lore of the past.
We all have seen the "EVE Origins" video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZPCiqBLPM8and it's first colonists going through the WH.
So my idea is: a very rare Site spawn in LS/Null containing some old debris of these ships.
It would have some ancient artefacts that if handled to the proper authorities you could get a handsome reward.
Some very neat lore attached to them regarding what happened in that
site, system, region, period of time when the ship was destroyed, etc (endless ideas).
Even some functioning remnants of modules that could help with Invention and Inverse Engineering (more ideas).
EVE's lore would grow and it could give hints to what happened to the old empires and why they crumbled (even more ideas).
2) Jove sightsWhat always bothered me is knowing that the Jove race exists, has lore (very little), but that's it, nothing else.
No interaction, no gameplay, nothing!
So what about some ultra rare Jove spawns.
Not spawns that you'd engage in combat, just some kind of site that you scan down, warp there and suddenly you see a couple Jovian ships doing... reconnaissance? spying? scavenging old ruins?
And out of the sudden they warp off within seconds, no engagement, just some "Close Encounters of the Second Kind"
"A UFO event in which a physical effect is alleged. This can be interference in the functioning of a vehicle or electronic device; animals reacting; a physiological effect such as paralysis or heat and discomfort in the witness; or some physical trace like impressions in the ground, scorched or otherwise affected vegetation, or a chemical trace."Your ship can't react, they warp off, you regain control and can approach to see whatever they were checking.
Just something to give the cluster more life and make the Jovians more "interactive".
Then a bunch of player lore would appear regarding what they could be doing in these small intrusions.
Would love to see what kind of feedback this gets.
