Tkotm	Posted - 2006.07.01 18:18:00 - [1] The alliance Galactic Aphelion [GA] have agreed this day (01th July 2006) to leave Venal area regarding fight made between both entites. The term of surrender with Tau Ceti Federation [TCF] was the following: - leave Venal peacefully - and make NAP with TCF to allow this operation. The Tau Ceti Federation's attacks on the GA's system became to hard for us to resist more. So we decided to leave Venal and accepted to NAP TCF during this operation. Tk, Leader of the Alliance Galactic Aphelion.

This official statement was made by GA and agree by TCF. So its not needed to reply to it, ans its asked to MOTD to close this thread. And you can't totally control a region with NPC stations, either. That's why TCF never officialy claimed Venal. However, we are by far the strongest power of the region. The remaining local hostiles usually spend their time inside a station of cycling safe spots, looking for a cheap gank, and they're more a nuisance than a threat. The enemy gangs big enough to be more than irritating comes from outside Venal, and we drive them back generally relatively fast. Bottom line, while we can't really say that we officialy control Venal, the de facto situation is that we do, as much as local circunstances allow an alliance to. ------------------------------------------ Don't make War, War is messy. (This is not about any trolling or flamming or region claiming). I'd personnaly wish best luck and successes to all GA pilots, for any further projects. I think that past fights were due to proximity and chosing different sides. I really hope that we would be on the same side next time we see each others in space. First, you're making a generalisation. TCF's leadership NEVER claimed to be uber at pvp. A few members implied that, but that doesn't mean we as a whole approve it. IMHO, we're above average (that is only my opinion, mind, not necessarily the one of TCF), but that doesn't mean we don't have a lot to learn yet about pvp, or room for improvment. As for the NPC station comments, I'm trying to understand how you can honestly believe that (assuming you do believe it, and that's not just more propaganda crap), and I think I came up with a possible answer: most evenings, we form up a gang with those interested in doing pvp, and we go somewhere to search for targets. If you come in Venal while our pvpers are busy somewhere, you'll find either guys afk in the station, or guys that aren't interested in pvp. I think it's pretty much like that in most alliances, as shown when our gang go into BKG, for exemple: they don't meet a lot of opposition. Same thing if you come when most of us are sleeping or at work. The vast majority of us is concentrated on the same timezone, and that's both a strength and a weakness. We can mobilize a strong pvp gang (about 60 on average, and easily 100+ for ops planned in advance) in our peak, but it also mean that we're pretty thin on the ground if you come before or after that. But saying we won't engage unless we outnumber badly our foes is wrong, plain and simple. Given equal odds, or even slightly defavorable ones, we WILL engage, just not on your terms. ------------------------------------------ Don't make War, War is messy. Who said we always win our fights? If you really need to know, we were 48 against a mix of more or less 40 Morsus/Solidline/Srbi. We had the advantage of numbers, but they had more long-range BS, we knew we'd lag a lot jumping in, and we were jumping right into interdictor bubbles. We knew we'd take heavy losses, yet we still went in. We lost, but it doesn't matter. We learn more of a defeat like that than with easy victories. For exemple, going into a fight with a travel-fitted Ishtar and cargo full of T2 stuff is a Bad Idea. ------------------------------------------ Don't make War, War is messy. They camp 15W at sniper range 170 km with support and dictor on gate , we jump in to take some fun with a mix of sniper and closer BS , they win of course but all take some fun. Sometimes We win , sometimes we loose , outnumbered or not this is not the problem here. That isnt new to anyone. So stop talking about cheap tactics, etc. and whinning about everything. If you dont like to fight us, then go seek somewhere else. We are not here to give you cheap kills , when you (D¦) need a fight you come with a blob of +100 to 200 people against a gang of 40-50 TCF and you smack us because we don't engage you in these conditions ? We had only 2 real fights with nearly equal numbers the first one when you came in Hpa to destroy a medium pos we kicked you out then the second one in the pipe we had again the same scenario...Oww i forgot...if you want a real fight come alone don't outblob us with all your puppets like razor,guard,morsus,solid... It seems people are completely mistaking about you you're a lot weaker than everybody think...See you ingame for a fair fight maybe

WTS credibility. I can remember of 5 major engagements between TCF and D2, that happened during the previous two-and-half-month period: - H-PA: your fleet suffered some casualties then fled into POS, leaving our reinforced POS unharmed. - 4S- #1 (June 20th): you beat us, we safespotted/logged off. Forum whines about cowardice is pointless considering there's been a fight. - 4S- #2 (June 21st): I was not present, but I guess it happened like the day before. - 4S- #3 (June 22nd): We were waiting for you, ready to fight, when our leader suddenly decided to warp out because of the lag he was experiencing. Yes, lag can make an engagement between a fleet of 15 BS and another one composed of 10 tempests, 10 megathrons, 9 scorp, etc. (I stopped listening to the scout after that one) not fun enough to justify a suicide. - K3JR: you came to finish our reinforced POS. Your fleet kept split and Germany Football Team playing weren't helping, so you were the one avoiding conflict. Apart from these days, most of the D2 I see are in their POS or docked, so please, refrain yourself from comforting your failures with overgeneralizations. We won't uselessly suicide our gang just because Mr. D2 has deigned bringing his fleet out. We fight for stakes, not for your pleasure. Blame your diplomats for your boredom.

From what I saw of you yesterday, coming in and out of the 6NJ NPC station, I could say exactly the same. But I won't insist on it, because flaming isn't nice. As for our long-term goals, I don't think we ever stated them in public, aside from the "having fun" part.
