The Khanid of House Maruke require no lectures about humility, son of the Bruderschaft. We have always served House Khanid and it has treated us honorably in return.
Those with the temerity to lecture and deny the King and his servants, to rail obsessively against the ways of an Empire we have long left behind, and to pose as the sole inheritor of theological wisdom in either Kingdom or Empire would do well to review those same verses.

Quote: We, The Khanid, did this thing.
The Khanid Kingdom is not, in fact, peopled primarily by the Khanid bloodline. The Khanid people have their origin on the same world as the True Amarr, and the majority of the bloodline actually live in the greater Empire. The Kingdom (comprised primarily of those worlds traditionally ruled by House Khanid *not* the homeworld(s) of the Khanid bloodline)population has about the same percentage of ethnic Khanid as the Empire as a whole.

This is a common misconception. While we have brothers in The Empire who have their own loyalties and histories with other Houses they are a minority. In the Kingdom we take for granted that most of our people resettled here during the greater migrations as The Empire expanded. Our forefathers settled beside the forefathers of the House of Khanid in what is now known as the Kingdom, or so the telling goes in my House. Indeed, the Amarrian forces that were joined by ours, without a soul being enslaved in the process, were commanded by an ancester of the very same House.
Nowhere, in the libraries of CONCORD, will you find mention of Khanid in service to any other House. While it has happened it is the exception and not the rule.
Our people were, of old, nomadic in blood and the move from Amarr Prime to Khanid Prime and its territories were hardly the traumatic experience that some might assume. When King Khanid II proclaimed his independance centuries later we were here ready to rise up and fight at his side as we always have since time immemorial. Others, it must be confessed, clove to Imperialist branches of the royal family. We know them to be Unionists today. And the minority, the prodigals of other Houses still in The Empire also hold Unionist political stances in the main.
Though I suspect in their warrior hearts they must envy what the Khanid of the Kingdom have wrought.
Now that relations have improved with The Empire many sons and daughters of better connected Khanid families are seeking sponsers to study at the Imperial academies. The majority of our race's pod pilots have passed through those hoary gates including myself.
Personally, I suspect we would do as well or better studying in Caldari military schools given their respective track records of success in the field. But diplomacy is war by other means and this exchange is as cultural as it is educational.
((Note: Based on an extended discussion of this topic elsewhere, and one in which no real conclusion could be reached, I tend to RP Zan's belief that the Khanid people are primarily located in the confines of the Khanid Kingdom. This is based on the only PF we have mentioning Khanids in the context of the Khanid Royal House, a dev's mention of Khanid students "coming from outside The Empire" to study at Imperial schools and, in the racial description of the Khanid Unionist subfaction a mention that they had not yet succumbed to "insurrection" - which would imply a native movement)).
