I'm in need of some Dramiel advice and I figure this is the best place to look for it. The fit below is what I intend to use but before I do I would like your input on my fit and any possible setups that I might enjoy. Also, what targets should I be aiming at?
Thank you,
- Ni Ka

I'd ditch the shield extender for a web, and slap a SAAR on it. Change rigs accordingly, perhaps deadspace MWD to get longer cap life, or deadspace AB. Pretty sure with no shield tank you can fit 200s no problem.
Some people like to put a nos/neut in place of the rocket launcher. Neut might be a life saver agaisnt dual web boats. If the fitting's too tight, meta down the scram. If it's not tight, meta down the scram and try going for DCU II. |

Dual Prop + Scram + MSE works better in nullsec, cause you can range control against most things with the AB + Scram. In lowsec however it's not a good idea cause most brawlers will be ab/scram/web fit and will be able to control range on you and the Dramiel doesn't have the greatest tank/dps, it's strength lies in its speed. For lowsec I would go with what Doctor Knuckles recommended (Dual Prop + Scram + Web + SAAR). As for rocket launcher vs nos/neut I would go with the rocket launcher, easier on fitting and a single small nos isn't going to save you from a medium neut and while a neut can be useful in frigate brawls, the fitting makes it too restrictive. |

That sounds very interesting, I'll have to give that a go.
What would be my target audience do you think? I assume anything with a double web and great range like the Coercer is a no go? |

Most AFs will be a no go, dragoons will murder you, other pirate frigs will murder you (barring cruor, which i don't know at all), dual web blaster frigs might murder you (lol uber gank 3 magstabs 400 dps no scram DCU tank comet), some hookbill fits (notably 400 plate 2webs TD) will murder you, anything 2webs might murder you really, and quite a bunch of stuff might not murder you but force you to disengage. The rest probably won't engage you unless with superior numbers, most likely denying you any advantage. All this assuming no links and no snakes eh.
TBH, i don't think Dramiel is in a good place right now, for low sec work and for that price tag at least. I mean it's not crap, but when you spend 60 mills for a frig hull, might as well spend some more and get a worm/daredevil/succubus, all of which perform better in my opinion. |

Dramiel Advice: Stop flying it. I always struggle to find a reason to pilot it when the daredevil exists. |

Yeah the above are fair points, the Dramiel is quite lackluster for a pirate frig now, the main advantage it has is the crazy speed so it can disengage against most targets. However double webs are really popular right now and if you get caught by double webs you're screwed as you can't disengage and going for a straight up brawl in a Dramiel isn't a good idea. |

After about a year of flying one with my main, I came up with this. As was said the engagement profile is limited to curb stomping noobs in **** fit frigates.
[Dramiel, New Setup 1] Gyrostabilizer II Micro Auxiliary Power Core I Internal Force Field Array I
Limited 1MN Microwarpdrive I Medium Shield Extender II Coreli A-Type 1MN Afterburner Dark Blood Warp Scrambler
200mm AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet Fusion S 200mm AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet Fusion S [empty high slot]
Small Processor Overclocking Unit I Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I
Warrior II x3 Warrior II x1
Sadly the faction scram is necessary unless you want to use an initiated harmonic scram, but the range is so short you will find yourself overshooting your target and then they can escape. |

For your very normal PvP desires, a Firetail will be the better pick 9 of 10 times, because of the pricetag and better fitting. You can make the Dramiel outperform a Firetail. But the thing is the ISK it will take. Not because you need faction modules to get the same performance as a Firetail, nooo. Then you could ofc faction fit a firetail and look better. It's because of the scarce fitting-space the dramiel has. To make certain STRONG fits work, you have to take ISK and throw it at deadspace prop / tank, then take some more ISK and throw it at faction tackle. |

i use this fit in fw sites. would only recommend if you have max skills. stay away from daredevils and dragoons. pretty much anything else is fair game. orbit 5500m and woop ass. overheat mids and gtfo if **** gets hairy. about 200m all fit but if you know what you're doing can wreck entire gangs solo.
*edit real quick i have been away since beginning of june, so i dunno if this is viable anymore. |

I endorse the above fit, its guarantee to wreck entire gangs solo and its subsequent disclaimer. |

Favorite dram usage atm is seeing them fully snaked up with links to kill lazy/bad Garmurs. BLFOX is currently recruiting |
