Surely it's best for everyone including people who are learning english or just not very good at it to use proper english and the proper terms, like 'rate of fire' which apparently contrary to american thought is perfectly self explanatory and has been used in many ways in the real world with no need for some alternate phrase like firing speed!
This is obviously just one of many phrase changes that have been happening in eve like the latest 'Time efficiency', which I suppose is a more debatably reasonable change but unnecessary in my mind.
Perhaps this is just what comes from hiring random players from the game who seem to be good at taking in information and spewing it out again.
It's dumbing down for pegi 12. I hate pegi 12 in eve, frozen corpses used to be naked. Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction... |

Surprising that is actually relevant in WWII flight sims :D
Slow firing large cannon on WWII planes (such as the nose cannon in the P39) had such a long "wavelength" your target could actually slip between the shells when defection shooting.

RoF, rate of fire, is quite actively used by "Americans". Though, I have to say a lot of America says "rapidez del tiro." (I'm sure those weren't the "Americans" to whom you referred.)
After this remark of yours I'm going to be monitoring your posts quite closely, OP. If you use this ridiculous subject/verb disagreement form that's all the rage (England are) you will certainly be hearing from ME. (I can tell you THAT!) Nyah.
Like this ridiculous post above me...The royal family ARE...family is SINGULAR. There is ONE English royal family. There are MANY "members" of this royal family. The members of the royal family ARE. The royal family IS.
AAARGH!!! Stop killing your language! American English, when we refer to family, we refer to the plurality of members, not the entity itself. After all, the Royal Family CAN NOT be multiple lizard people from the lower 4th dimension, it is both a single entity and a nonphysical one.
We Americans simply choose to drop out the "members of the" pretext because over here most services you pay by character, so it literally pays to cut out as much writing as possible. |

I can't begin to imagine how anyone can play a game for so long and get so ticked off by things like 'proper english.' It's like someone going through the drive thru of a restaurant and yelling into the speaker that they shouldn't be allowed to sell anything if they spell burger wrong. |

Must admit its a bit ironic in a space game set in the distant future in another galaxy.

The practice of shooting defectors with fighter planes never really took off. Ralph King-Griffin wrote: "Eve deliberately excludes the stupid and the weak willied." EvE: Only the stong-willied need apply.

For that matter neither did a lot of the crazy late war designs, some exploded on the runway though. |
