Why can't I tell the invention job to run multiple times? I see no reason why not. If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough. |

If you want 10 runs you can, well, in the constraints of the time it takes anyway. That's the way I understand it.
Oh, and the bpc has to have that amount of runs on it as well. |

What I mean is, if I inject an ME job I can choose level ten, wait the amount of time it takes to run to through all ten levels then I get the BP back. If I want to run an invention job (with a BPC that has 10 runs) I have to install one job, deliver, install it again, deliver, install the next job, deliver, ad infinitum. Why not just let me run the job 100 times if that's what I'm going to do anyway? If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough. |

Yes, this idea has popped up in many heads, since it is a fairly logical next step. Also invention is being revisited in one of the next expansions... Hmm. |

That would make too much sense. Yes, you still need 10 copies to do ten invention runs. Awesomesauce. "Blow it all on Quafe and strippers." --- Sorlac |

the invention process uses up the bpc on the first run you do not get 10 uses of the bpc you get a modifier to the result of the invented bp runs for the t2 version |

If you check on TQ, you see that this is not the case.

Now, with Crius, one invention job uses 1 run from a bpc - not the whole bpc, and all invention jobs produce max run T2 bpc - the original box has no affect on the runs, TE or ME of the resulting bpc.
OP: it is my belief that we have to reinstall jobs because it acts as a limiting factor, otherwise we could be churning out HUgE amounts of T2 bpcs and the market would go mental. Oh and datacores would be the new farming. http://meme-generator.me/media/created/d3r3t8.jpg |

My point is aimed at why I have to enter the job every time, why can't i just do what I do when running multiple levels of PE or ME. If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough. |

A couple months ago, they decided to standardize the blueprint copying time to 80% of the manufacturing time for every blueprint. This was intended to help people use a station to make BPCs of ships, and then use a POS to manufacture. (Because blueprint must be in the POS now.)
However, they suddenly realized that this would cause a huge bottleneck for ammo/drone/module invention. Making 20x max-run copies in a POS would go from 3 days to 24 days.
So they made the change mentioned in the title of this thread so people could keep inventing. It was mostly an afterthought and they did not have time to take it to the next logical step.
They have mentioned that invention and reverse engineering are going to be examined again soon. Perhaps being able to run multiple inventions at once will be part of the next release?
