I see web design, hosting and more for ISK, now is it allowed to buy stuff with ISK? Like I want a new laptop, can I buy it with ISK? Or would that be considered against the rules? Not sure where CCP draws the line. |

You are only allowed to trade ISK for in-game items or items/services otherwise agreed by CCP.
When it comes to third party sites, it is above board to pay for services in ISK as stated in the Developer Licence Agreement (section 4.4.a)
Trading ISK for real world goods, like a laptop, or real world services, like a plumber, is not allowed and considered real market trading RMT. Kitchen sink? Seriousy, get your ship together - -áFleet-Up.com |

I would say no, a laptop is directly exchangeable for cold hard cash so IMHO it would fall under the auspices of RMT (Real Money Trading)

That's what I thought, but I see stuff like servers, web hosting, web design etc, doesn't that also constitute RMT? |

While they could be considered RMT because such things carry a RL value, they are explicitly allowed by CCP.

It's worth checking directly with CCP as they will probably take them on case-by-case.
However, I believe (and could be wrong) that if the services is associated with EVE in some way then it's normally considered ok. But I could be wrong and do not take my word here as fact.
There are examples of people trading things like TeamSpeak for ISK on the forums and CCP have allowed that so I take that as an "ok". (Example)
Suppose you wanted to rent a server for ISK and then not use it for anything EVE-related at all and got caugh you'd probably be in trouble. Kitchen sink? Seriousy, get your ship together - -áFleet-Up.com |

Damn It is. In game.
Fees depend on the service, casual chatting is free though... ;)

You remind me of the woman who put her dog in the microwave to dry and then sued the microwave company for not putting a warning in the manual. |

I mean can I offer ISK in return for a few hardware parts I want for my PC? Who do I contact at CCP to try and make this happen?
The PC will be used for EVE sure, and I could pay in PLEX I don't really mind |

I think that was probably a one off special deal they worked with nvidia, who are one of their corporate partners.

Keep an eye on the loginscreen. I've seen EVE-pc's being sold in very limited edition once a year, every year.
Here's the real problem:
ISK -> Plex -> item -> ebay -> money |

Really? I've never heard of or seen that. I remember CCP running the graphics cards for ISK but that's all.
