This patch I believe is a secret troll by CCP.
On one hand they are encouraging people to go out to low, null, wh space for better production costs, and in the other hand they prevent you from manufacturing / researching anything because when you attempt to run a job, it requires access to the corp wallet.
Last time I checked, my CEO doesn't want me to have access to the corp wallet.
Also, why the heck does it costs me ISK to use my facilities at my POS? As if fuel costs were not already high enough at 500 mil a month.
I like a lot of the changes, but I have now gone from a somewhat functioning POS to a completely useless one.
Someone tell me what I'm doing wrong or how to fix this please.
P.S. I'm donating all my stuff to Orphan Annie

This is a new and original line of inquiry...
Having written that completely useless smartassery...I don't know. Other than an arbitrary ISK sink it would seem that owning your own POS would prevent you being charge to do things in it. That, however, is simplistic thinking. Ralph King-Griffin wrote: "Eve deliberately excludes the stupid and the weak willied." EvE: Only the stong-willied need apply.

Possibly to make the system-activity-based cost apply to any kind of player activity? Encouraging people to set up shop in less popular systems?
Not sure, though. Maybe it was just less :effort: to code it that way. EVE Online: Death-o-meter |

POS workers unionized and started demanding proper wages.
Its probably to make sure that EVERYONE is effected by the new cost index so people try and find lower pop systems to do their work in. |

Wait, am I the only one that feeds my Fedos frozen corpses? Plenty of supply available. I even fed them my own a few times hoping we would gain a telepathic mindlink. Nothing yet, but I am still listening. |

This would all be resolved if we could maybe have an overhauled corp interface and roles system. If the manufacturing role group included the option to draw from corp wallet only for jobs...
anyway, paying a token amount for these jobs isn't an issue. You should see how cheap things are out in our wormhole system. As the only game in town, our costs are pretty darn low. An in-character blog and a video: http://verinsjournal.blogspot.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu1mbsgo738

Not answering any of the rest as it has been covered repeatedly in pre-release Dev blogs and there was ample time to discuss the changes. This particular issue is being reported by a lot of POS users who don't have access to a wallet division in their corp. I haven't seen a dev answer, just a comment someone else made stating the issue has been raised and the option to pay taxes from personal wallet might be a possibility in the future. That's secondhand though and without a dev quote not to be relied upon.
Best bet, for the time being have a chat with your corp leadership and see if they can assign a wallet for member use. It doesn't require director roles. Put the ISK in on demand when starting the job, they should be able to keep it under control that way. And poke the devs for an answer in the Crius feedback thread. DON'T BE RIDICULOUS! |

1. CCP has acknowledged the wallet issue and is working on a personal wallet option.
2. get a smaller POS, and I still have to pay taxes on land I fully own right? regardless of whether i'm farming, vacationing, or hosting sexual get-togethers.
3. secondary dibs on the stuff. Especially bpo/bpc |

Such a non-issue. I have a title that gives all the roles you need to use the labs. I then made a wallet division that has a small amount of isks in it that also has access from the title to pay lab fees. Problem solved.
If someone steals that small about of lab fee isks from the wallet you have just found a great member to explode in space, collect the corpse for the museum and boot their sad arse out of the corp. |

On one hand we have the option of doing indy stuff in NPC stations
Pros: You dont have to buy the station. You have everything in a single "item tab". (Almost) all types of slots in a single facility. Stations cannot be destroyed so your items inside are completely safe. Easy to use. 0 isk fuel cost. Store ALL YOUR BPOS in a single place.
Cons: 10% additional tax.
On the other hand we have POS indy stuff:
Pros: No 10% tax.
Cons: Having to spend several hundreds of million isk (maybe even a bil if you are going all serious) just to buy that whole thing. Having to pay 500m isk for fuel. Living in fear that someone might wardec your corp and take out that POS "for the lulz", thus ruining your entire investment. Losing not only the POS but also some of your blueprints in the process. Having to anchor and online the whole thing (i.e. sitting in space, open to any attack). Having to haul materials and blueprints between station and POS if you dont want to risk it all. Paying fee for using your own installations, that you supply with fuel and you defend (because logic).
Yeah.....I will surely choose POS for indy stuff.... |

What EvE needs is children to do the manual labor. Maybe in the next patchspansion.
