Invention does not use teams. You can not even select a team for an invention job.
The game still wont let me start an invention job because it says the selected team is both no in the station and that it does not match the selected blueprint activity.
I ran a run of invention jobs fine last night but now this is happening.
I'm actually starting to get angry as I am trying to figure out what is going on this. It is becoming so frustrating.
Can anyone tell me WTF is going on?

Well I figured out a work around by resetting the entire client. I really hate doing that because remembering how the color tags and background settings on the overview need to be set up is a royal pain in the ass. Those settings really need to be exported with everything else.
Hopefully this is fixed soon because this is both extremely annoying, and completely breaks the game if you do invention and production on the same client. |

I've just been poking around, and can replicate this.
However, it's not simple to replicate, requiring:
selecting the blueprint. select invention. go to the teams screen clear the activity type filter (defaults to invention, when you do invention) pick a team.
(You can't clear the team on a different activity. that doesn't pull through)

I finally found this problem on the list of known problems that a DEV posted. It was not that easy to find so I found it after posting this. I even asked in several in game channels. I did not submit a bug report since CCP apparently knows about this.
He basically said that if you select a team on the teams list that it will cause invention not to work and the only known workaround is to completely reset your client. Wich means that i will not be using teams at all until this is fixed.
Hopefully they figure it out and make the notice blatant when they do because I'll be too afraid to test it again. Completely reconfiguring the overviews and UI's of several characters over 3 accounts is not something I want to do again.
