We all run Level 4's complexs, rat, and the like. I always notice that the dead stations or the historical ships debris floating in the area goes to waste. Why not take advantage of it.
Go to a rouge drone site clear them out then have a salvage team come a clean everything up, station and all.
Dead npc stations Wrecks the size of a carrier (historical or otherwise) Dead mining colonies
This can add depth to the game. Instead of blowing it up and watching a pretty fire ball. turn those old structures into something. Possibly open up story lines.
Resources gained:
Minerals Parts BPO's/ BPC's Faction moduals Implants Or whatever
Salvaging can then be a career path.

So, you basically want faction blueprints for salvaging space scenery?
1. Salvaging is already a "career" for a) those willing to do the work to make it a business, and b) all those people who run around "ninja" salvaging 2. Plexes already exist to offer the rewards you want 3. Features and Ideas is ------> "Blow it all on Quafe and strippers." --- Sorlac |

Your thinking small. Idea is to make scenery usable. Salvaging is hardley a career now, why ninja when you can just salvage openly? The list provided was an idea of things to possibly be salvaged, and don't make this something it's not. |

I totally agree.
I always see things in sites, missions, etc, and i'm like... why can't we salvage that!! i mean who leaves a space station out to rot? Specially when CCP is all about "you can make ANYTHING" in the game. And is pushing this more, and more in the days to come. Then why can we not Salvage... ANYTHING in the game that is deemed abandoned or wreaked?
I salvage sleeper wreaks all the time and in them sites... i'm like dam i wish i could take over that Sleeper station? or at least salvage it... or what about reverse eng.? If you can rev. eng. ships parts to make new thing... OMG what could you do with a sleeper station just left in space to rot. There are many ideas i think you could do with this. Maybe not all things like bpo's... but i see anything in space and the industrialist in me thinks...hmm "what could i make out of that material?"
Maybe incorperate other skills that allow you to salvage better things... like other "Science" skills that unlock the ability to be able to make use of certain objects to know "how" to salvage them properly. I like making skills valuable and worth learning. And it would only make salvaging an even more valuable career. Rather than any newb. with salv. 1 stealing all wreaks in space b/c they can. As mentioned in above post.
One of my biggest things when in a WH... hmm we cant have space stations... but sleepers can... or did with the tech. but we have to just warp off and leave them... abandoned... unsalvaged.... not explored... all that tech just left to go to waste /sigh Hell id hire a DUST team to go infiltrate them stations to clear out "sleeper" aliens if i could make it my own someday LOL Anyway i agree with the OP new content for salvaging... do something with space junk! .... or someone elses treasure |
