Created in South Shields, England in 1854.
The sun never sets on the British Garibaldi biscuit. It's more of a breakfast, or noon time biscuit.

At school we used to call them dead fly biscuits Never hold your farts in. They travel up your spine and into the brain, where they ferment. They then migrate to your keyboard via your fingers. That's where shiptoasts come from.

Never heard before about that, seriously, first time I see a biscuit like that. When weapons, technology, and economies mature faster than the leadership culture entrusted with them, disaster ensues. http://i.minus.com/ibeZ0sJewvDMBN.gif =ƒÿü |

Hah!
Weird I've often wondered what those were actually called. Back in the early 90's some friends and I did the Euro trip as late teens. We started out in GB where one of my friends dad was temporarily relocated for Boeing so we spent a couple weeks touring around. We called them "load crackers" for some reason. I guess because if you ate a few of them they were somewhat filling and living on a strict budget we were basically eating whatever was cheap.
They packed well also. Trekked many miles with a backpack of "load crackers". Awesome things those are! |
