Anyone know what the trigger for the final 'command' wave of guristas den is? hit all the structures, cant figure it out |

Some unnamed dens require the missiles/guns to be destroyed to get more waves of NPCs, in my experience the last regular wave of npcs is the trigger for commander and escalation, however sometimes it may specifically be one of the ships in the wave, rather than the last ship (ie it might be last destroyer or last frigate rather than last ship).
As it takes 1 salvo to kill each ship I've never bothered to figure which (and as I used to do them enmasse I generally had a vested interest in the thing despawning asap, so I killed them all anyway).
You don't need to kill structures that aren't shooting at you.
I've historically seen 8% (commander) and 4% (escalation) rates, and streaks of 3x the expectation of non events too - ie its not that uncommon to do 75 in a row with no escalation, followed by 2 escalations within the next 10. |

Usually most combat anomalies will have multiple reinforcement waves spawn upon the destruction of the previous wave. However, some of the anomalies do have a specific trigger that will spawn more NPC's.
I haven't seen any anomalies use neutral structures as a trigger but it wouldn't surprise me if there are some that do indeed have structure triggers.
Anyway, according to Evelopedia - Guristas Den - it's just reinforcement waves and as Tauranon pointed out, it's a small random chance of getting a Commander spawn and an even smaller random chance to get an escalation for expedition.
