Hello, I was just wondering what I should focus on in my skill training. I have gotten to the point where skills now take a little while to train and want to be most efficient with my current attributes and skills.
My original goal was to fly a Paladin in L4 missions. I now have said Paladin and want to know how to best optimize its usage.
Here are my skills.

My thoughts were to max out my Gunnery skills to V is it worth doing so or should I just stick with IV for the lot of them.
Should I go for Marauder V?? Is there use for a Paladin outside of L4 mission running? |

Your drone skills are pretty bad.
Surgical Strike III.. should be V
Navigation skills needs a lot of work too
those are the ones that stick out right now for me, but I am dead tired atm.
Well paladin is.. sometimes.. used for pvp.. but not that often. But yes it is worth getting all your gunnery skills to V. in fact your support gunnery skills should be at V. |

ok a few points
perc paladin is ok with marauder 4 shines with 5 so yeah if u run missions often its definitly worth training. for your gunnery skills get your support skills to 5 asap (especially controlled bursts in amarr ships). U want t2 large energy weapons on a marauder so train it. Drone Skills overall arent that good and as an amarr pilot u want them better (Proph, Geddon, etc.) but for a pala they arent that important.
int/mem Those "resistence" Armor Compensation Skills would be great at 5 as it applies to the eanm for pve purposes only when u fit passive resistence mods. Depends on your fit but i think u want your rigging skills atleast at 4. Navi skills are pretty bad, but i dont have a fast way to check what which skills does there so check them yourself if u want them at 5. 4 should be your minimum target so Cybernetics 5 if u want to use shiny implants or +5 learning imps your scanning skills arent needed for the pala but if u want to go exploring they might need some adjustment
Charisma Again alot of mission running Social, Connections, Negotiation and Security (or other) Connection for easier agent access or better payout.
not sure which mapping Targeting skills like LR Targeting, Sig Analysis and Radar Compensation might need a look at too especially sig analysis.
So that should be all ^^ |

Don't forget getting target management to V so you can train a couple ranks of advanced target management. The Marauders get to target a very large number of targets, take advantage of it. |

Marauders IV for now, Then focus on guns for a couple months. All the gun supports to V is what you want, but I would probably get T2 guns first and then complete the support skills. Drones need a bit of work as well. Again, the support skills are what make drones shine.
Skills in general have a 'rank' attached to them. You can use the ranks to give you a guideline as to what the game designers feel is most important. Me personally, I train a long skill, then a couple shorts. Then back to a long skill...rinse and repeat. I have always committed to at least 1 level V skill a month.
Your Pally is sort of 'average' to sub-par at this point. Keep doing skills that apply to the hull or the fit, and you will soon feel the improvements. |

So I am looking at a month to get all my gunnery support skills to V. Good thing I am remapped into perception and willpower. Another question I was curious about. I want to do incursions and from what i have been told Paladins are not poppular in incursion fleets. What amarr ships are accepted in incursion fleets? Legion perhaps? I think that is a pretty nifty ship. Maybe a T2 cruiser instead? I am looking to expand my horizons. |

Paladins are great in armor incursion fleets. However for the much more common shield fleets you will be looking at a Nightmare. |

I have no intention on training shields anytime soon. Armor suits me just fine, it is one of the reasons I chose amarr as my race. |

I'd check the ship/fitting requirements of incursion fleets who run armor fleets. They're all going to be very similar, like the shield fleets are. That will give you a good idea what to focus on, imho. |

I joined the TDF channel and they gave me some fitting and links to information. They will let me start with my Apocalypse so as not to risk 1b with a paladin and after I get some experiencce I can use my Pally. |
