I was mining with some corp mates and a war target entered system. I docked and switched to my pvp fit prophecy. He was in an Ishtar.
We locked each other down and started attacking. It was going slow taking him down and it looked like he'd break my tank first so I switched my drones to take out his. He caught on quick and started doing the same.
It became a race as to who would run out of drones first and he had more than I did.
When things didn't look like they would end well, it dawned on me. Where the hell are the corp mates I was mining with? I got them to come back in their mining ships just to have the drone support. It was enough. The Ishtar switched on AB and got the hell out.

I was mining in LoSec and I was going to another belt to find some more pristine jaspet. As I hit warp velocity, a would be ganker warped in and ended up beating me to my destination. I got scrammed more than my stabs(or so I thought) and even deployed my drones in futility. When she was about 3/4 of the way through my shields I tried to warp of to my SS and it actually worked. *adrenaline* I went back to retrieve my drones (they were still there, surprisingly) I thanked them for leaving my drones in which case she said she got distracted by a Mordu rat that dropped an Orthrus. *ADRENALINE!!!!!!!!* Elite PVP - The use of huge blobs, capital ships, and metagaming to defeat a target you already significantly outnumbered. -masternerdguy |

I get the shakes just a little bit whenever I'm opening myself up for the possibility to be killed. Stalking prey in a fight that should be one sided or even attacking a hauler on gate like a dirty pirate gets the adrenalin going for me because I know I am committing myself. There is always that of chance.
But the worst time was during one of my first fleet fights during a highsec war. This was before anything was really done to fix lag and it was still a real problem even for a 6v6 fight on gate in highsec. Back when it was so bad that CCP started thinking about time dilation and placing proxy servers all over to fix it. If you remember the days of bad lag that even caused people not to log in you'll know what I mean.
We where in a fleet of about 6 on a gate that encountered a WT fleet of about the same size on the other side of a gate. I was in my Abaddon that I just trained for and with our fleet setup that made me the second most likely primary after the a Brutix we had in fleet.. We managed to drop there CEO in his Rattlesnake then a second ship of theirs. Our CEO at the time then gave the order to warp to a safespot to regroup since no one was pointed after the first two ships dropped.
I entered the warp command and immediately began to lag to the point of almost DC-ing. My ship was safely warping away on everyone elses screens but on mine it was not and I had no control at all. I immediately freaked the hell out over comms. (I was new still). About 15 seconds of me literally coming out of my chair and shaking so bad I could barely use my mouse past before a corpie said "relax dude we see you, your just lagging". I still didnt believe them and continued to freak out until my client caught up and I was magically sitting with them at the safe spot. Took me forever to calm down.
I was sure I was dead because at that point I should have been primaried and pointed being the slowest aligning ship out of the fleet that was obviously warping off. Fortunately for me they decided to primary the Brutix right as we decided to warp off and they popped him instead. We killed two VS there one with a significant difference in isk loss but I'll still never forget feeling that helpless and scared.

I killed a Goonie frigate in Goon space once. That was pretty thrilling.
I was roaming solo in VFK, as a part of the "Harry Forever" campaign, in a condor armed with rockets. Basically trying to see how long I could last. While sitting on a gate, this reaper jumped in. I locked on and fired rockets, it was dead in 2 volleys.
The dead reaper was cool. Discovering it was a dead Goonie reaper was even better. That got my adrenaline going.

I almost lost my dread a few days ago to my own hubris and a neat trick. There was a BL Muninn fleet on the station in F2, so I undocked to taunt them. Elo Knight invited me to the fleet, and I accepted, armed with the fact that my ship was at 0 speed and the ability to flag myself exempt from fleet warp, assuming that was his plan.
That wasn't his plan. They were shooting me at this point, and I joked about how it wasn't nice to shoot fleet members. I got past a certain level of armor that I was comfortable with and decided to dock.
Nope, session change timer. I looked at that small circle in the corner of my screen and saw it keep resetting again and again. I realized they were moving me to different positions within the fleet, keeping the timer active and preventing me from docking.
I left fleet. "Oh **** oh **** oh **** oh ****" I chanted as I watched my hull bar fill with red as I maniacally smashed the dock button. I finally managed to dock safely. It's a good thing our repairs are free.

Going for my first PvP kill, I was in a Moa tanked to last 15 seconds against the station guns. I dropped on the station grid with a Cynoing Velator and sent off a volley, dead noobship, forgot to turn on hardeners, warp out with half armor, feel like a winner.

The biggest adrenaline rush I've had was prior to my first PVP victory, but it was a fun fight and damn near close. I was running a Blood Raider anomaly in an Ishkur, which was PVE fit as well, because I was bored of the constant jumping I was undertaking to get to my destination, so I choose what I'd think would be a nice, empty 0.3 to rat in. I see two people come in via local, but I didn't warp out because I felt I could take out one of the NPC BS'es before that. I don't do that, of course, and a Cynabal warps in after a while.
It scrammed me but didn't web, so never doing PVP before, I just did what I did with the rats - orbit as close as possible, turn on (in this case overheat) my AB, and unload my Void ammo as fast as I can. To my surprise it was actually working; he was trying to shoot me and was missing most of the shots, although I was into armor. I turned on my repper which relieved me of a lot of cap, but kept just enough to keep me shooting. It was when I realised "wow, I might actually be able to kill this guy!" that the adrenaline came in, and it was like nothing I'd experienced in the game before. When I got him into structure, his friend warped in in what I believe was a Caracal or a Cerberus, and webbed me. Didn't take them that long to kill me after that, but I was amazed at the fact that I nearly killed a Cynabal in a PVE-fit ship!
I think if the Cyna was more properly fit or flown he would have a much easier time with killing me, but that's what you get with players of different experience with the game. Exchanged GF's and chatted for a bit after that. Easily one of the most enjoyable moments I've had in the game. |

I've had many.
Years ago I was in Atlas and I wanted to get on a titan kill mail so bad it hurt. I get home from work, log in, get on teamspeak and peopel are yelling about a tackled Russian Titan and bring more dictors yada yada. It takes FOREVER for my client to load, I jump into a Sabre and I burn it all the way to C-J6 . So much Chaos, couldn't get a fleet invite (I think there wa sno fleet finder then) so I warped to a moon, right planet, wrong moon lol. I know I'm about to miss the damn kill.
Warp to another moon with my guns hot. Land right on the damn titan, lock him, fire one shot, didn't even get to launch a bubble and BOOM, titan goes bye bye (for a seocnd there I thought I had the killmail, nope, a Dread got it lol). I was shaking after that.
Most of the time, though, my adrenaline moments come from barely escaping a trap in an overly expensive pve ship lol. Like that time I got my machariel back to that gate in low sec with 3% hull left. They were PISSED when i jumped lol. |

This game doesn't get my adrenaline pumping, but it's always exciting in nullsec. I guess the first time I did fleet combat with 100+ people in system was pretty intense, not anymore. What gets me going more than anything is when I make a mistake, honestly. Just like oh damn, I knew I shouldn't have done that, and I did it anyway how stupid. I tend to dwell on that stuff, I'm still thinking about a lose I had yesterday. |

The time where my adrenaline went sky high. Was down in null and heard a a scout for a roaming fleet was inbound. So got a ship warped to a gate safe spot to cloak up and get info on what they had coming. But soon as I got to the gate at range the scout came into system just as I was cloaking up. I watched him burn to me and started to try and decloak me, coming real close to a few times before warping off to find a target in system. His friends soon came through the gate and warped to get an easy kill on a barge that ignored the warnings of hostiles inbound. But when they went to leave the system they guessed right and warped at various ranges to the gate about ten of them formed a close bubble around me and few came so close that they needed to be a few hundred meters closer to decloak me. As they slow boated past me all could do was hope that no one sent out drones. But min later they all past by with no idea how close they came to getting a second kill in that system. Sure I made a few mistakes in that event. But I learned to do stuff a bit better since that time. One those using a Gnosis set up for probing out stuff with a basic cloak on it. |
