Hello, Pete Butcher! I would like to commend you and thank you for the great work you've done!
I have two questions to the creator and all who use Evernus. Sorry, if it was already answered, but I couldn't read all pages.
My first question is about the Market analysis tool's import option. From what I understand It has the option to choose a region and then pull the price for that region. What I don't understand is what happens if you choose two or more regions? If it is a compare tool, then how do you distinguish what price is where in the result?
My second question is basically for the same tool - let's say I import prices of two trade hubs. How do I compare the prices of two stations for example? Is there a built-in comparison tool, or a way to export the results to a spreadsheet where I can do that?
Thank you! |

Importing from more than one region is handy when you have traders in multiple regions and you want to import everything in a single click. I'm planning on making a region compare tool, but I have little time atm. You can use the margin tool to compare margins between different stations.

How do I use the Margin Tool to compare prices? When I open it up it's blank. I don't know what I'm doing.

You have to export market logs for the item you wish to inspect when the tool is open.

I have exported market logs from my orders in game. I have the preferences checking for the correct path. But when I open margin tool all the fields are not populated. Do I have to manually input something on the Margin Tool?
Also, a short video of your work flow inside EVE R NUS would go a long way to explain how one can use all the tabs with each other via right clicks and scripts.

Margin tool works on exported market orders for given items, not character orders. When you select an item on the market, there's an export button below all orders.

Nice replacement to Eve Mentat. A few things I would like to bring up regarding custom item costs:
- When adding new custom item costs, trailing spaces in item names are parsed and prevent the actual inputted item to be added. - Is it possible to import a CSV list or something to the custom item costs? It is a waste of time to have to click add, copy paste item name, copy paste ISK value for each item, each time I would like to update the manufacturing costs of an item. - Perhaps add item costs individually to each order as well?
All in all a very useful tool.

Small announcement straight from fanfest - I can confirm Evernus is officially fine with the EULA, regarding fast price copy feature. If you had any doubts, you are fine to use it, as long as you don't do anything other that breaks the license, like botting.

+1 I just logged in to suggest exactly these features: - Import for Cost Prices - When righclicking Wallet Transactions -> something like "Add to Cost Price of CharXYZ"
These features around cost prices are very needful for traders operating with several alts, for example in different stations etc.
Beside that: Still amazing how good your tool is developing, including outstanding support and feature releases! Good Job! |

Adding costs via right click is already there. You can also combine costs for all characters.

Maybe I was not clear enough: Same itemtype, two different stations and toons where I sell'em. Because I bought the stacks for different prices, I need to store two different cost prices.
As I buy the items on a third toon that's sitting in Jita, I currently only can - Add the costs to the "global" costs, which would be wrong - Add the costs to the Jita toons costs, also wrong, I need it on the "seller" toons
So I need to add the costs to the personal costs of a different toon, then the one I bought the items with. |

I was looking for a replacement for Mentat and found Evernus. Just downloaded it after the patch today and am already up and running with my tradealts. I also had a question and posted on the application homepage where the developer responded literally within minutes to my query.
This is a highly recommended application for traders in EVE online with a multitude of functions for margin checking, price updating and automated import of prices. For me it will reduce number of tools to 1, which is a really good thing.
Thanks for taking the time to develop and make Evernus available to the eve community. |

Version 1.28 is here with major speed bump to CREST import. Changes:
- [new] configurable CREST import speed*
- [new] ability to add item costs for other characters via context menu in transaction lists
- [fixed] multiple character import causing large CPU usage
- [changed] not copying 0ISK when no price data is available
- [changed] Scylla database
* please read this on how to tweak CREST speed and possible problems.

From which version were you updating? Did you by any chance synchronize via Dropbox?

Something apparently went wrong with the early versions. Nevertheless, the fix is simple. Launch regedit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\evernus.com\Evernus and you should see a "version" entry there. Delete it and everything will work fine. If not (errors pop up etc), evemail me and I'll give you an alternative solution.

Absolutely loving the tool, amazed I didn't find it earlier. Only stumbling block I'm having is that I can get the overbid over filters working correctly. I'm able to filter only overbid orders by using the script "order.overbid.diff > = 0.01", and this works flawlessly for my sell orders. However I'm unable to figure out how to make this work correctly for buy orders, I've tried adding negative values but to no avail. Cheers. I'm using version 1.28. |

Technically that's not a bug. Ccp doesn't allow predefined corp keys, so the link points to a personal one so you can at least see the permissions.

Diff is not normalized, which means it has a different sign for different order types. To show only overbid for both cases use:
(order.type == 1 && order.overbid.diff >= 0.01) || (order.type == 0 && order.overbid.diff <= -0.01)
I'm going to add a new normalized diff in the next version.

Hi Pete,
today I tried Evernus for the first time. This is pretty impressive (and overwhelming, to say the least ...). Well done!
But I recognized a visual "issue" (for the lack of a better word): I might be an oddball here, but although I'm a native German speaker, I prefer English as the UI language for most software I do use. Both to avoid possible translation mistakes and keep myself trained in English. Therefore I picked English as Evernus' language. But I do like my numbers/dates formatted according to my locale. And while Evernus lets me define the date/time format, it doesn't seem to provide the same customization freedom for numbers.
This ofc doesn't impact Evernus' functionality at all and I can handle that, but if you feel lazy sometime (Ha, just kidding!) you may want to think of this as a minor feature wish.
That said: not too bad, lad, not too bad.

Changing locale is pretty easy. In fact, you can do it in current version by changing a single key in settings in the registry. I'm wondering how to do it and not mess with the rest of i18n. The simplest solution I see is the ability to force a certain locale in the preferences, even if it's not officially supported.
