I'm not counting on us being ahead ISK wise by the end of the week so let's calm our horses eh? It's not exactly a surprise that we're better at large scale engagements, we've gone and fought Euni and brave newbies enough time to have it down by now. Still, I fully expect to see a lot of face palming losses on our part once marmite and friends go back to doing what they do best.
Edit: which looking at the killboard a they're already doing. Mission ships and pods dying left and right. Why some thinks missioning while in RvB is a good idea, I still don't understand. We have an open door policy! Just drop corp and mission for a few days. Then if you don't want to wait the 7 days join the other side! (Rant over)

I don't see what all the drama is about. High sec merc corps are generally for hunting down specific targets, and aren't quite suited to the same scale fleet engagements that RvB engage in daily (at least from what I've seen). We should stick to each of our own strengths. :) We pick off their stragglers, while the main bulk of their fleets are distracted elsewhere.
If RvB want GSE's POCOs, they will simply seize them. Not much we can do, tbh. :/ |

To be quite honest here I want to thank all the Merc's who are doing this. It does what we in RvB always strive to do which is to create content for our members. Bringing a great fleet fight that is not RvB norm is what many of is live for. Having new targets to hunt for, gate camps to break and 4.4 trolls to kill is just the kind of fodder we want.
Kudos for engaging the blob, skirmishing is and thinning the mission we herds.

At no point have I said it's a bad thing (and if I have I was drunk!), but it doesn't take skill. To say that you are elite because you gank industrials is like saying you're the best at sports because you ran 100m faster than some 3 year olds. I understand the motivation of killing easy targets and completely agree that it's a great way to boost a killboard, but it's in no way impressive. The Indecisive Noob - EVE fan blog. Killing easy targets is not bad. Doing nothing but killing easy targets and harping on about how your alliance is the epitome of high-sec PvP is the reason null-sec looks at high-sec and laughs at us. Marmite et al./ with their risk-adverse form of PvI (Player v. Industrial) continuously gives groups such as Goons ammunition to lob in our direction as anything other than "legit PvPers".
Oncer again, RvB are the epitome of high-sec PvP, and even Goonswarm will begrudgingly admit that what they do is PvP. That is why groups such as Red vs. Blue and BRAVE have a positive reputation amongst the null-sec crowd, and pretty much anyone who pays attention to the game laughs at the hubris-filled-but-no-evidence-presented threads drawn up by Marmite.
It's not hatred. It's a general laughter at how pitiful one group can be and still think they actually matter. It's kinda' like Russia. |

Is anyone suppose to care what nullsec alliances think? Are you one of the people who thinks nullsec is the endgame of eve? I can assure you, things like what happened in this thread have a hell of a lot more "PVP" involved with them than simply warping gogo goonfleet of a thousand ships to a fleet of ten and pressing "F1".
We roamed thru deklien a few weeks back.. kitchen sink fleet of about 8 frigs and cruisers. You know what goons brought? Over 200 interceptors. You know what they killed? ONE SHIP. Just how LEET PVP is that? The damn things didnt even spread points. Killboard

Never did null-sec PvP myself; in fact, I stay away form it. Not interestted in the politicking and supercap blobs common there. But it isn't just null-sec that laughs at high-sec. Everyone does, and they have points many times, something that I am loathe to admit but will do so anyways, considering I've spent the vast majority of my time doing high-sec war decs before and after the changes. |

Kinda funny, 200v8 is 25:1 odds, they could've easily alphaed all of you but instead chose to focus fire on just one ship.
