Trying to find a decent cruiser set up for L2 missions. I have money but skills are not all T2 yet. Any ideas on what to do? I have heard destroyers are better or L2 but I have no idea really. Could someone help me out? I have not found one that looks good. Thanks |

Honestly, for L2s you just pick a gun and slap as many copies of it on the ship as you can. Throw on the proper tank for the race, an AB/MWD and maybe an Adaptive Invulnerability Field. You shouldn't need T2 to run L2 missions.
Fitting only becomes a real issue once you hit L3s and have to fit BCs. |

Fyi, only fit armor or shield tank not both. The ships bonuses should tell you which but as a general rule Amarr-armor Caldari-shield Gallente-armor Minmatar-bit of leeway here but you should probably ask someone about fitting mini ships as u believe they can be somewhat skill intensive. =][= |

You don't need to wait to have the T2 skills to fly missions level 2. Any half-decently T1-fitted cruiser will do the job without problem. Soon, for the level 3 missions, you will need a battlecruiser, that shares the same skills than the cruisers (battlecruiser skill excepted of course). So by the time you arrive at level 3, you'll most likely be able to fit some T2 module. Favoritism is good - CCP 2013 |

Shoot the frigs from a distance as they are approaching you with long range ammo (Iron or T2 Spike), then switch out for Antimatter or T2 Void for close brawling against the cruisers. If any frigs or drones get under your guns take them out with your drones. (Watch your drones against Amarr ships, they easily kill them quickly.)
This setup is for Serpentis resists, replace the 2 resist mods for the primary damage of your rats and the single resist mod for the secondary damage type. "Your security status has been lowered." - Hell yeah it was! |

Here is a fast and dirty omen set up.
A few notes: switch out the eanm's for mission specific hardeners. This will greatly increase your tank. You really don't need all those cap mods and rigs. You shouldn't have to perma run your rep'er just pulse it as needed. So you can swap out the CCC rigs for fiyltting rigs if necessary or for damage rigs if possible. Carry some long range cryatals as well as short range crystals. Always go with faction ammo, it more than worth the cost. Just get agro amd start to AB away from the rats, popping them as they come into range and swapping out ammo types as you do. The web and drones are for frigates that get under your guns. Carry extra drones, a flight of slavage drones if you want or a flight of ecm drones incase some pirate tries to crash your party and you make the mistake of taking the bait. T2 DC and Armor hardeners is a short train...do it!

fitting ships is relatively straight forward for missions
check ship info for the per level bonus given check eve-survival for damage types you need to tank
as an example, below is a vexor
hi-slots Medium Hybrids
mid slots After Burner Drone Tracking Modules Capacitor Modules
lo-slots Armour Repairer 3x Armour Hardeners Drone Damage Amplifiers
rig slots Armour Repairer Rigs
For weapons use the identical exact same weapon in each available slot. So if there are 4 slots then fit 4x uberweaponofultimatedoom not 1 or 2 of one thing and 2 or 3 of another.

Hey William,
If you're looking for a setup to use, there are several resources available to you that you can use.
Battleclinic - You can browse loadouts on this website.
EVE Fitting tool - A dowloadable program that allows you to make fits for a ship just like you would in-game.
Null-sec.com - Just like EFT except not downloadable: it's in your browser.
Hope this helped! - Crimson Draufgange, CEO of Extreme Overkill Inc. |

In my experience L2 missions become laughably easy with a full T2 setup. Once you can T2 fit the guns and some of the tank modules, you are quite ready to tackle L3 missions in a Battlecruiser that lies in the same progression path. I'd even go as far as to say fitting T2 is a matter of cost and efficiency (increasing completion time), not your raw survivability.
1. Make a priority of killing things that warp-scramble you, such as Elite frigates. 2. There is no shame in warping out. That's why you kill scramming things first! 3. Experiment with the amount of buffer, resistances and repairs as you skill up. 4. Learn the NPC damage types. Switch out specific resists, load the right ammo. 5. Learn how to actually fly your ship, what it's weaknesses are and how it handles.
T1 Cruisers are awesome. I'll never tell anyone to rush into flying something bigger, but T1 Cruisers are in a really good place right now. I'd say pick a favourite, and train the skills required to fully T2 fit it. Then a Battlecruiser and blitzing L3 missions becomes less of a hurdle, the jump from L2 to L3 missions is a larger then from L1 to L2. |

Simple solution is t2 drones with full drone skills any lvl 2 and in general most 3 and 4 as well are laughable easy though I guess the same could be said about any weapon system once you are fully skilled in those. |
