default warpable removes the tedium of scanning and makes the process faster
making k162s automatically spawn and open does another thing: reverses the natural state of j-space to seclude itself
but CCP is probably in favor of the surprise buttseks. we all know what happens when there's a local.
However K162 spawning automatically won't solve anything - people will just mass their static to verge of collapse before bearing and if they are ultra paranoid also bubble spam them and when rolling to try and find something to shoot it gives the potential targets anything from seconds to minutes heads up depending on how fast would be attackers are scanning down their new static sig and length of warp to it (currently you can even go to the lengths of bouncing off a nearby bm or celestial to reduce the amount of time the other party have to notice the new k162). |

On topic though, if this isn't a failed test or glitch then I don't think it will too far down the road. |

That would be so you can construct a reasoned argument opposed to complaining about things that may or may not be bugs on the test server. |

But seriously, they won't listen to a word we say, look at the System Scanner fiasco. No one in wormholes thought that was a good idea, yet they did it anyway.
All that a side, I will admit I am somewhat curious as to what the hell that Devblog will reveal. I'm not too concerned yet about the recent "test" changes seen on SiSi. CCP Fozzie said nothing's set in concrete yet and there'll be ample opportunity for feedback.
But what I do struggle to understand is why are we seeing all this Developer effort spent in obscure or strange aspects of w-space that the community hasn't stated they wanted changed - when there's plenty of big (and small) stuff we've been complaining about for a very long time that goes un-changed.
For an example is Winthorp's great suggestion about sig ID changes and particularly how it impacts AU tz players. We get a CCP reply of basically "Yeah we kinda agree, and it would be good to change it, but we won't actually change it yet and can't say if/when we will", while in the same breath they're spending time an effort working on horribly-unpopular changes like the one in this thread and the other, that nobody asked for and hardly anyone wants.

I would rather see a threadnaught grow on a mistaken change like this than see something so serious slide by until a Devblog. Look at the WH Spawn Distance threadnaught, a good portion of the uproar is over the underhandedness of the whole thing, CCP keeping such a big change hidden and then downplaying it when they get caught with their hands in the cookie jar. For someone to notice this on SiSi means that SiSi is working as intended, and shows the Devs that there are people out there who will notice when they try and slip this kind of stuff into us. I mean past us. |

Cannot wait to explain that to people in the newbiehelpchannel: So if you jump twice through a hole you get polarized, except if it is a k-w hole. They are all K162s, yeah... The only possible explanation for this change is a) too many newbies got blown up/ confused or b) this is just a technical test for new code. |

Here is why: "Bring the 'Unknown' back to unknown space." and "We want more danger and conflict (drivers)."
Now, we got unknown changes of us ahead which are a danger to our gameplay and currently driving conflict on these forums.

I couldn't agree more, not just about my suggested change that is a thorn in the side of more AU players than just me. While i do like the first change to do with mass/distance i am totally opposed to the removal of polarization timers, but i 100% agree there is so many things that we as a community have asked CCP to look at that they could have spent dev time on and we would have kissed their feet over.
Personal SMA's (Can't be that damn hard if you made a personal CH that is useless as **** on a bull)
Fix black holes
Remove instant sig
Change Ore sites in WH's back to a scanned site
Give C4's dual statics. (while contentious it is still an issue that people wanted looked at in great numbers)
Adding different escalation options for sleeper sites that didn't just include Carrier/dread
improving either the demand for salvaged materiels to improve low class income or the drop rate/worth of blue loot.
Stop self destructing inside a FF.
So many damn things they could have worked on and what wasted potential we see them working on. It really dissapoints me and i hope a dev blog makes me feel better about the direction they are headed in.

Give him a beer or a bottle of best frozen Vodka.
Those are issues should be worked by DEVs. I would add there:
POSes
Corporations right management
Instead we get some ambush changes made by ppl came from null-sec power-blocks that are currently working in CCP. and why? because w-space is so hard understandable by those poor nullbears (just recall those poor ppl from null who tried to conquer all WH from single constellation and then rent them after - they experienced united WH Community love very quickly and because of that they do not like us - we are an obstacle on their way to profit and farm)... |
