Curious:
What's the longest time you've had your main "active duty" ship? I mean a specific individual ship, what's the longest you've had it without getting it blown up ?
My main's had the same Stabber on active duty since... I think... 2008. His other ships die, but this one is lucky I guess. |

Well, I've had my original Hulk since 2008. I bought a second one for Nullsec when I was there, as the original has sentimental value (and I required a high sec mining ship).
I still have both of them. |

A mammoth and a daredevil I've had for over 7 years. For some reason the mammoth has always sneaked past danger and the daredevli was the first of my exotic frigate collection and only gets flown for fun in the corps frigate races.

Dominix for 1 year, used it as a missioning ship at first but it spent several months in both 0.0 and WH space before getting popped by a bunch of russians. |

My jag still has large rigs fitted, from the time before medium and small rigs were introduced. Love this ship so much that I grow more and more reluctant to epose it to any real danger. |

Ofc it just sits in my hangar gathering dust so can't really be considered active duty. |

That would be my pve domi I used for high sec mission running when I was a noob... Somehow it turned to a dual neut domi during a war dec and since then I've been using that one during war decs, so that's probably around 3 years in service now. I've lost a lot of dominixes, but that one sort of avoided being destroyed. I rarely fly it now because there aren't a lot of war decs I participate in since 0.0 doesn't really bring any of them to our turf. I've had a CNR since the day the CNR was the mission king (before marauders). Used it for everything PvE related for nearly three years, then i retired it. It still sits on my virtual home in... well.. the place i call home =)
But if you mean longest ship i've had that's easy. I still have my first merlin from when i joined EVE during Trinity. What's that.. 5, 6 years? Sorry, bad math... Rated ARG for Pirates. **** you. |

Well, I just recently replaced my Covetor and Mammoth with a Hulk and Mastodon, respectively, so...my Apotheosis? From when it was given as an anniversary gift. I tend to sell and buy ships rather frequently. BS's for L4s, for instance. Started with a Geddon, rigged it, contracted it and bought an Apoc, rigged it, contracted it and bought a Mael, rigged it. Which I might later contract and buy and rig something else. But my indy/mining ships tend to last the longest, since the only reason to get another one is to upgrade. Failfitting ships since 2007.

I have a Abaddon for WH work thats been active in daily use for 6 months. I have a PVE Geddon thats been in HS/LS/WH and it was the first BS I bought I've had it 9 Months.
I lose Bestowers like they were free though. Can't seem to keep a Industrial in one piece very long .

Alt's Thanatos lived for over 2 years, and saw a huge amount of combat in that time, including a few of the largest capital fights to that date, and one that had at the time the largest number of caps destroyed in a single fight. It made it through all of that barely getting put into hull once, maybe twice... then Bobby Atlas asked if he could borrow it, and it was dead 15 minutes later.
Also still have my early 2006 vintage Celestis, my first cruiser, still with its original shield tanking pvp fit (yeah, don't ask) all completely vanilla T1 of course, cos thats how we rolled back then.

I have a cormorant that I've had since I started playing in 2007, though it's sitting in Jita and hasn't been used since about a month after I started playing.
I also haven't lost an abaddon in quite a while (I'm now wildly looking for wood to knock on). |

Had a Cyclone that saw three wars, even tanked a Moros + fleet and it was old enough that it was mostly a T1 fit, I just never got around to upgrading it. That would be 3-4 months.
I ran it through EFT and it gave me chills. Couldn't believe how I was throwing that old banger into battles. Edit: I actually got an alliance medal for "Seppuku" and I think they have only given out two ever. /edit
Anyway, it got blown up when I took a rookie fleet PVPing, half stayed docked, not knowing what was going on and the rest shot at a frigate that they couldn't pin down (like going off chasing a butterfly) Meanwhile, I thought they were behind me and it was a 1 vs 1 against a T2 fit Sleipnir. Mission Domi which i had since i started which was in 2006, retired for a Navy Domi when they came out though. Navythron For about 2,5 years or so? I bought another one just for blowing it up again after they changed it to puke army green. Couldn't put myself to blowing up the original And Anshar, which has been in my posession for also about 1,5 years or so. maybe a bit less.

I have a slicer named "Templar Dane's Amarr Navy Slicer" that is 5 years old. I remember buying it when this character was less than a month old, and parking it because it was crap.
Then there's the vengeance that I think I was using on my first solo battleship kill in december '06, though I am not totally sure.
I also have a nightmare that has been shooting red crosses since '07 or '08. While that may not sound impressive, it has spent most of it's life in all non-highsec space. |
