With the armor reppin bonus you really dont exactly need the plate. I seen a vidio of a guy pwning the crap out of every other BC with the below setup.
Blasters in the highs.
Mids: MWD, medium cap injector w/charges, and a 20 km scram.
Lows: 2 medium armor rep II's, and 3 hardeners(exp., kin., and ther.)
Then of course damage drones.
His concept was simple. Hit the MWD and slam into the enemy at zero barrier, he toggled the medium cap injector and micro-managed it to a degree that he could continually run both reps. He would actually get down to half armor quickly but rep almost all of it back per cycle. The vidio was like 20 minuts covering about 12 dogfights. At the end the guy finally lost lol. What to? It took a cyclone, ferox, and and 3 ceptors lol...He was a damn good pilot to though.

Not entirely sure what this is used for, but I'm guessing gang PvP?
If I had to choose I'd take the former setup, or you'd have endless problems getting into range for those blasters (even with Null). But I'm rather keen on this, which I think I lifted straight from the forum some time ago...
5x Heavy Electron Blaster II 2x Heavy Ion Blaster II
1x Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive 1x Warp Disruptor I 1x Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I 1x Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I
2x Medium Armor Repairer II 2x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II 1x Pseudoelectron Containment Field I
In a gang you could play with the mids or lower the tank to fit more Ions.

Glad to see the setup getting some use

He didnt mention this but judging by the OPs current setup ideas i think he wants to use it for pve meaning he will have no use for a warp disruptor or any other cooky cutter setup you guys are posting.
Depending on what ever level mission your doing or complex or whether its just belt npc hunting, id try out small rails or something that consumes less capacitor. and maybe fitting 1 med and one 1 small armor rep would be more capacitor friendly and definitly train up for t2 nano's.

How do you overcome the short range of blasters? Why not use railguns with 50km range? Also, I can't seem to fit 1600mm armor as it is too power consuming, even with 3 extra reactors. I'm very new to Eve and to Brutix so please don't flame the noob :)
