I just got an omen and most of the skills to use one/rig it up right. And i was just wondering what people suggest in terms of guns and med/low slot items? Theirs so many guns im really confused which ones are better/worth the price increase and as for the mods im totally lost i've look at like every one but have no idea whats effictive what isnt ect. Im also kinda poor so im kind of looking for a "poor mans" setup so i can just go get some overseers effects and make some money....

You have some ship setups in the Ship Setups sticky post in this forum. Other than that, comparing gun stats are actually quite fun. Check the damage, rate of fire and fitting requirements...and tracking. Then decide what you think is the best. --- Eve Wiki | Eve Tribune | Eve Pirate |

I was but i have no idea what any of it means in comparsion to anything. Why are Medium turrets weaker than Small turrets Wtf? Am i missing something their? What setup is best for DED zones? Theirs like 100000000 million thing for MED?low slots that i have no idea which are the ones anyone uses ( I have a sneaking suspicion their are like 10 ones considered good and rest are stupid). All the setups in the Ship setups guide seem to be geared to PVP or stuff that im not really sure what it is so it's not really helping me...

Well, if you have no idea of what to fit, i think you should do some low level missions to get used to the game and the modules first...sounds like you are very new to Eve, right?

Agreed with Jim, play around with the different modules in some easier missions to get a feel for them and to learn the mechanics around them.
Getting told to fit X module with Z thingie isnt that helpful actually if you are not sure how they interact with eachother.

Im not Super new to the game, i've done enough missions ratting to to know the basics. I've been using a Punshiers w/ 100m Rolled tungston plates, heat sink, an Armor repairer, and a Shadow serpantis membrane (i found it). A 1NM AB and a civilian sheild repairer. And 3 Dual Light Beam w/ Multi S's. I was just wondering if any one new any little tricks from playing the game for a while, i.e. One type of laser is always better than the other types etc... I was also wondering is their was any mod i was missing? I tried ECM in the mid slot but it was pretty useless so i can't thhink of what else to stick in that mid slot instead of that Civ. Sheild repair. And im not sure if any of the Civ loadout carrys over to a cruiser layout, All i want to be able to do with this thing is warp in and kill every drone in sight then pick up the X'th tier overseers effects. Was simply wondering if any one knew any info that would be helpfull to this simple task ass all the EVE web sites are severly lacking in any kind of usefull information...

Your using Civilian stuff?
Try replacing all of that crap with better modules to start with. You do know how to use the market I hope...
This sounds almost like a joke tbh.

Nice sig there Tao Han...
Dont use armour reps AND shield boosters/extenders, Amarr armour tank.
Use a medium armour rep, some hardeners and heatsinks, medium slots go for cap rechargers so you can use that repper more, and a stasis webber so your weps can hit fast moving ships.
Use some focused pulse lasers to start with... and Radio (long range) and (Multifreq short range) ammo...

Edited by: RevanTK421 on 15/07/2006 04:48:04 Edited by: RevanTK421 on 15/07/2006 04:45:39 Was only using Civ sheild repaired cause i know Punisher is an armor tank( i didn't have any thing else to put in their and it didnt really hurt my cap) , and MWS wont work in DED zones. Webifiers seem stupid to me when i have an AB theirs no need to slow em down. I didn't think about Cap rechargers that's a good tip, Thanks for the help...
Also Focus Anode Particles or Focused Afocal Pulse Maser?

Webs slow them down = easier to shoot them. That's why web's are important. If you are having trouble hitting people it might be because they're moving so fast =P
too tirreedd...if you look at most amarr ships you'll get an idea how people armor tank in general on ALL ships...it's the same for every ship. Repairer...Resistant plating...and now'a'days Damage Control (DC). ---
