Self Destruct is the very last thing we want to do and scanning around the worm hole, no one is here, not even a POS.

Without any bookmarks to a wormhole out or probes to scan a new one, you cannot fly out of a W-space system. Period. If you can't get anybody in system to help (and remember that you won't see them in the local channel if they don't talk, and d-scan is limited), you're going to have to self destruct. And remember to take probes next time. |

hey there.
in the top left corner, there is a code, most of the time its JXXXXX where XXX is a number, it could help if you c+án post this J-code in this thread.
wormholes open up to hi/low or nullsec and to other class wormholes, form time to time wormholes be in a so called "chain" to other wormholes, this could provide you with an exit. you claim this wormhole is empty, this doesnt mean that there is no way out or other wormholes will not open up to it.
most of the time people ask for some kind of isk donation to get you an exit. however, because you post this in new citizen, i think you, as a newer player could get one for free, depending on the person that reads it, and finds an exit.
i myself live in a wh, so if we get an opening i can see if we can work something out.
small advice: if someone else shows up in the wormhole, dont blow him up, he might give you an exit :)

Did the wormhole collapse or did you just forget to bookmark it? If you bookmarked the outside, you can get someone to come scan it for you from the outside by checking the system you came in through (it's shown in the saved location). www.ensignyooch.wordpress.com

Thank you for the insightful post, it really helped. I have the Jxxxx number and forgive me if im not willing to share any of this info openly. I have a couple of questions also:
1. If I sign off does my ship just sit there? 2. If I had a saved WH location that is gone, will that be the same location it will open again if someone else tries to come through?
Appreciate it.

1. Same mechanics as in K-space. If you have no timers, your ship will do an E-warp and dissappears. With timers it will remain in space till timers run out.
2. No, their location is random, so your bookmark is "useless" unless you are very lucky. Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

first giving a J code can not hurt you more then not giving it. if they find you and your fleet they find you anyways, regardless of previously knowing the j code or not.
in fact it only increases a chance for a way out.
to answer your qeustions:
1: your ship will not si tin the wormhole, depending on your status when you log off, it sits there for 30 seconds, 5 minutes or 15 minutes. however as long as you did not agress anyone, or didnt get shot at, your ship will be gone from the wh within 30 seconds.
safe log off ( press the escape button lwer right corner) is your best bet to be sure your ship is gone before you log off.
2, if the wormhole you got a bookmark from is gone, the connection to your wormhole is gone, this means that there will be nothing there.the former wormhole disappeard.
every day 1 or more wormholes ( depending on the classification of the wormhole you are in) open up at different locations. those new wormholes will be active for +/- 23 hours. those can bring in new people or provide you with en exit. depending on the RNG you get an exit to another wormhole, hi/low sec or null sec. the location where they spawn is random.
the chance of a new wormhole opening up on the exact same location you have a bookmark from are close to non.
hope this clears it up for you

1. No the ship just sits there, but the after a timer or safe log it despawns. It will land in that spot when you log back in. 2. The book mark stays there but the wormhole appears anywhere. If you don't have people working to help you there (giving the J number) then all you have is self-destruction. So if you don't have some trust you are SOL. sorry mate. Always willing to help all you have to do is ask, though if your in the other fleet I may not help the way you want. Just a heads up. Pub Channel: Lost Souls Trading Post |

See this post for wormholes basics to avoid more mishaps.
Always fit a probe launcher, or at least carry a mobile depot with a launcher to refit. (And don't forget the probes!)
I'm currently scanning anyway if you want to drop me the J sig...you might be unbelievably lucky. I once found a wormhole worth 4 billion isk after 30 minutes of searching. www.ensignyooch.wordpress.com

After Dscanning around, I found a POS. its German but some English in the Corp Description so I emailed the CEO. Hopefully will hear back over the next couple of days or I will PM the J code to people here and offer a nice ISK reward. Thank you.

Poke Bronya Boga or Foedus Latro if you see them on. Since people often offer 500m->1b for a hole location I'd hazard to guess you'd want to offer something in that vicinity or even more for a corp to spend hours rolling their static until they found your C2.
Really depends on the value of ships/pods you want to save and whether it's worth it or not.
But speak to the locals first. They will be your best (and cheapest) chance of getting out in one piece.

"EOL" is most likely "End of Life" (i.e. the WH is nearly out of time). One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

Honestly just self destruct. Time is more valuable than ISK. Or thunderdome yourselves to pod express at the sun. Its fun anyways.
My old corp lost BS and HICs when one collapsed unexpectedly (still should have had 10% mass left) ... When rolling WHs, have probes! When WH diving, have probes or expect to get stuck every now and then. Death and Glory!
Well fun is also good. |

Azda Ja wrote:EDIT: By the way, would you care to explain your BM naming scheme? I'm guessing C2A for example means the first C2 wormhole you've found, and the "<" or ">" denotes direction. But what's (EOL) and the * mean? Correct and correct. EOL stands for "End of life" denoting less than four hours left until the hole collapses. VOC means "verge of collapse", meaning any more mass passing through is likely to collapse it. The first tag is the system I'm in and the second is where the wormhole leads, while < and > tell me the direction of the spawn (though I get a bit lazy with this, and a lot of people just use >). Asterisks mark the direction I came from, so if I need a quick route home I just follow the stars.
So for example, if I started in high sec and found a C2 wormhole with a static high, static C4, and a incoming C5 and C2.
Highsec bookmark:
HS > C2A
C2A bookmarks:
C2A > HS* C2A > C4A C2A < C5A C2A < C2B
This is my personal system, but most wormhole corps use something very similar.

I dont understand why you dont just self destruct .. unless its the fun of it all .. at my point in my carreer i would love to get stuck (by accident) in a WH and try and figure out how to get out - but only for the novelty.
The only reason i can see for you to not want to self destruct is if you have gone and broken the first rule of EvE. History is the study of change. |
