Hale says I can turn recruiting back on now.
While we have a presence all over Empire space, most of our activity is in 0.0 now. As Tanvash says, it is the land of milk and honey.
The EVE 30+ group has no skill level requirements, but does have some very specific membership requirements. Go to http://forums.30plus.org, navigate to the EVE public forums, and see the sticky at the top on what the organization is about.
We're particularly looking to bolster our Asia-Pacific membership, so if you've been looking for a home in your time zone, see me or Shady Fark! If you live on the beach in New Zealand, we'll all come visit you and stay a while.

UK player, 40+, with wife who hates me playing Eve, but I manage to squeeze some game time in most evenings and weekends while she's watching the discovery channel
Watched Star Wars 8 times at the cinema when it was originally released and enjoyed my time with the Sinclair ZX81, Spectrum and BBC Micro model B (Elite was so cool!).
Only thing that's of concern is the requirement to use TeamSpeak, which would surely give my wife grounds for divorce. However I noticed in an earlier post that it's sufficient to just be able to 'listen' so maybe I could swing that?
Anyway, your corp sounds like fun and I would definitely be interested. Perhaps your Euro recruiter could look me up in-game?
p.s. i also have some mates in my current corp who are just as mature and may be looking as well.

I think the organization was specifically founded by a group of like-minded individuals. People who understand that avoiding wife agg is much more important than winning an in-game engagement. Victory over the annoying 13-year-old in the battleship is good, buying a new kitchen floor to placate the significant other is bad.
Being able to speak on TS is somewhat important when in an actual engagement, but like you, my wife gives me weird looks if she sees me with a headset on. Looks like 'new kitchen counters'. Being able to listen in and hear orders when in a corporation or alliance operation is vital. I mostly get away with running TS over the speakers at a low volume, and only talking when I must. :)
Our Euro recruiter is Tekumze Wolf, I'm Mindframe, and APAC time zone is Shady Fark. Feel free to convo any of us that you see online, or we'll look you up in the next day or so.
Be sure to read the 'interested in joining' sticky. Those are the few rules that make it such a fun organization to play in. :)

Edited by: Angus Khan on 29/12/2006 17:45:11 Hello, I am 39 year old who gets to play eve only later in the evening(after 9pm) for an hour or two and some on the weekends. I have been primarily mission running and ratting in low sec in the south(but would be willing to relocate with help) and have been looking for a good corp. I bring 4.2 m sp char that can fly up to amaar BC(I have been training up support skills before jumping into BS) I do not have TS but would be willing to set up to listen(I don't know that I could talk as my computer is in bedroom and I play while wife is sleeping) I would like to talk more and see about joining so please mail me in game or convo me. Look for me in game around the times I mentioned above.
I am in central time zone USA

Grumpy old men need you...I've never been in a corporation before that has multiple people announcing "afk - bottle to baby" simultaneously. Happily, those days are long behind me.

Quote: A team player willing to contribute to the greater good. Extra cash or unneeded equipment will go to the corp. In return, the corp will supply all (reasonable) ships and equipment that you need. The level of support will be commensurate with the level of contribution.
Able to work solo or in groups. Everyone is free to do their own thing, but we work together when schedules permit. Missions, mining, patroling around low sec looking for a fight are typical corp activites. Experienced players help the noobs, etc.
Our cooperative efforts have carved out our little spot in 0.0, and established a pretty good mining operation and a good PVP fleet. If you are 30+ and wanted to wander off into the land of mercoxit and 1.95m rat bounties, without having to surrender your wife and children, we might be home.
Go to www.30plus.org to see what the 30+ gaming community is all about, and see the sticky 'Interested in Joining' in the EVE forums section.

Is it me or did that last guy just try recruiting for another corp in our recruitment thread?
Naughty, naughty. No hijacking threads for other Corps.
We're still recruiting, the 0.0 fun still continues and we want people who'll fight and help support our Corp, so our Corp can help make us better.

Wow, this is me in the mirror...ah, 'cept the age thingy,,, nearer 55 than 35. I have been playing since beta with some success, left for RL but recently thought about coming back. I have played for so long I am one of the ônerfed fewö players whose history was inexplicably lost and restated in abridged form, loosing about a year of Corp membership. (I looked like a 3 month player with 5 mill. Skill points for awhile.)
I am tired of the lone wolf life in EvE so this sounds perfect. US EST Late nite player. Lots of skills and lots of built up equipment to contribute to newer players. Look me up with ingame email please and I will do the same. May need tutoring for the newest goings on and equipment and ships. Thanks

Well, I can test it as an unregistered user...
But 'forums' on www.30plus.org leads to a list - 'news', 'forum news', 'general'...and so forth down to 'Eve Online'. That's us!
Let me know if you don't find it, and I'll bestir myself to go try it out 'unregistered'.

Seems I'm an eligible recruit. Currently play on East Coast, USA time. I am Gallente with more emphasis on Memory/Intel skills, but doing level 3's in my Thorax. Wife doesn't especially like MMORG's (I've played LineageII, AC1, and SWG, before changing to EVE), so my play time can be "less than dependable", but I might be able to help in the manufacturing or mining area. I prefer to play a kind of "jack of all trades, but master of none" kind of character so I don't get bored.

I'll contact you in-game this evening, I'm Central Standard.

I'm new to eve but I'm looking to join a corp thats laid back like me.(I played WoW, and unless you were on 25 hours a day they would boot you from the guild..LOL)I've been just mining for the last week earning some ISK to upgrade ships and would like to learn from some veterans. My in game is Pyles Ford. Hope to talk to you soon.

This group has me written all over it as well! 39 with wife, 3 grandchildren (Step), 2 cats 3 dogs and 5 kids outta the house. Wife tolerates me playing Eve but prefers I play GuildWars (got her hooked on that so I could play a game). I've wracked up almost 4m sp and love ratting when I can and not afraid to PVP providing I'm in the right ship for it (usually not). I would like to learn more about your group when I get home this evening!
Talk to you ingame, Xalen -X |

Edited by: Mindframe on 06/01/2007 12:40:16 Replied to everyone in-game, and on our forums for those that registered there. I'm learning to detest EVE-Mail. :)
For those interested, you can find out a lot more about the corporation at our forums - www.30plus.org, forums, or http://forums.30plus.org directly (EVE public section).
See the 'interested in joining' sticky there for more detailed information on what we're all about.

I'm ready now. I found this thread a month or so ago and wanted to join. Problem was I'm the leader of a corp with members I've traveled with through a half dozen MMORPGs. Looks like I'm the only one left now so I'm free to go my own way. I'm on US EST time. I'm still a newb and have alot of questions. I get plenty of game time since my wife is a gamer also (no kids). She tried eve then went back to WoW. I have 2 accounts. 1 for fighting and 1 for science. Someone look me up. Manolas is the fighter and Manotari is the book worm.
Thanks

It is indeed TeamSpeak, in all it's glory, because that's what the alliance uses. Thousands of years of improvements in communications, and it sounds like we're talking on cheap hand-held radios during an electrical storm.
On the other hand, get 50 people on a channel on an operation and it sounds kinda cool. I keep expecting to hear Lee Major's scream "I'm breaking up, Chief! I'm breaking up!".
