To make manifest our deep friendship with the Caldari State and its citizens, I have signed a decree that authorises the granting of honorary military titles of the Ducal Palasian Squadron [DPS] to members of the eight great corporations. The payment of 100.000.000 ISK is combined with the title.
Regards Morijah dGÇÖHanguest Eh! This will be interesting. I never expected to have a title that would be polite to say, honorary or not, from the Kingdom. I invite you to contact Jude or myself at your convenience. It is our pleasure to be of service to the Duchess d'Hanguest once more.
In the Name of the Lord
Rejoice, o chosen of God!
With great pleasure and satisfaction I announce that today, on Mehatoor VI, at 24IC station, 20:15 NET, NaupliusGÇÖ Frozen Corpse has been handed over to me. Kohiko Sun and Jude Kopenhagen destroyed the hereticGÇÖs vessel and his flesh in combat yesterday. The only survivor of the strike was a timid slaver hound, who has been adopted, and given the name Nauplius II. Those interested in visiting and feeding him, can do so in his future home, the Ducal Estates on Palas VIII. Appropriate food will be sold for a small obolus that will be added to NaupliusGÇÖ bounty.
I am pleased to proclaim that Kohiko Sun and Jude Kopenhagen have, by ducal right and prerogative, been named honorary Topoteretai of the Ducal Palasian Squadron [DPS]. A public reception for Topoteretes Sun and Topoteretes Kopenhagen will be held later this year.
Due to my monastic stay in Khanid low sec and my sisterGÇÖs presence on Khanid Prime, the public viewing ceremony of NaupliusGÇÖ corpse cannot take place any time soon, but please do watch out for announcements in the future.
Let us pray and remember that God is with the good, who will triumph over evil. He judges the unworthy and redeems the pure. Now and forever and ever.
The Lord punished the sinners and drowned them in their own blood. But the people of Amarr lived righteously and in fear of God. Thus they were saved and became GodGÇÖs chosen.
All Hail to Eternal Amarr! Hail to King Khanid! Hail to the Duchy of Palas and its Topoteretai!

-Eran Mr Mintor,
when his corpse is available for public viewing, I will send you a special invitation. You will like what you will see. If it is attentions what he seeks, it is humiliation and defeat what he will harvest. The community of the faithful and its allies stands together like a solid rock when it has to overcome evil.

I didn't ask who was invited. I asked how the corpse would be posed.
A posthumous execution you say. Well, one must question the impartiality of the trial then, since you've already decided on him being guilty, before the trial has even taken place.
Grounds for an appeal, I'd say.

You ever heard of the lonestar sharpshooter fallacy? Imagine a wildly inaccurate gunman emptying his weapon at the wall of a hangar, and then carefully painting a target around the densest cluster of bullet holes and claiming to be an expert marksman.
I figure if God really is on your side and you still managed to get popped six times, then God's either not trying or isn't all he's cracked up to be. I'll bite.
That pod alone is worth more than every ship Stormcrows has lost against you to date, combined.
I consider that a win for us.
However, I'll speak for your not simply running at the first sign of combat as many in the militia do, so you have that going for you, which is nice. You can't take the sky from me

If you are planning on placing this innocent corpse on trial, then I will speak for the defence! I say this corpse is innocent! It could not possibly have committed heresy, because it is Dead! Are you saying that Death is Heresy, Duchess d'Hanguest?
I further charge that this is a case of mistaken identity. Naupilius may or may not have committed heresy, but that is irrelevant, as this is not naupilius - it is his corpse! That which was naupilius has long since fled this body, and as such this body cannot be held accountable for that which happened while it was unjustly and illegally possessed by a rogue soul.

Furthermore, what you are REALLY doing is charging the entity known as Naupilius - who no longer inhibits this poor body - with heresy in absentia - meaning this corpse's only relationship to the crime was the misfortune to have been used to create Naupilius' clone. Therefore, this corpse ought to be aquitted!
This is like blaming dirt for a weed springing out of it! I move that the corpse be released from trial and the charges be instead be brought against Naupilius as an Entity - not as a corpse - in absentia. This is now a WIDOT thread! |

I find Mr AracturusGÇÖ interjections most intriguing. While posthumous trials are a valued tradition and proper legal method in the Duchy of Palas, never has it occurred that a capsuleer was objected to this procedure. The ducal articles of jurisprudence do not differentiate between human and trans-human. While I reject Mr AracturusGÇÖ proposal to defend the heretic in absentia, because no defendant is needed at the trial, I encourage everyone to rebut his theses and to prove that this cadaver can be held accountable. The corpse is not a mere vessel for the soul, for it cannot act without it in this world.
