Just wondering what the maximum value most freighter pilots can haul before suicide gankers take interest in them?
Not really looking to be on the edge, some "wiggle room" would be nice. |

It is zero as some are now ganking empty freighters. "PvE in EVE is a trap to turn you into PvP content, don't confuse it for actual gameplay." Lipbite |

How about max freighter TANK with command ship(s) boosts....maybe even rep support??
How about studying "when" all the ganks happen?
How about NOT using the same lame route as everyone else?
How about an insta warp to out of Jita 4/4???
Just flew a pig with over 5 BILLION worth of stuff thru the Uedama gauntlet...with 300k+ ehp and rep support.
Nobody even noticed me....do it all the time, NEVER been ganked. Nerf Goons
Nuke em from orbit....it's the only way to be sure. |

Apply your skills, low slots fit and implants and check the risk section for the Break-Even. Lady Areola Fappington: -áSolo PVP isn't dead!-á You just need to make sure you have your booster, remote rep, cyno, and emergency Falcon alts logged in and ready before you do any solo PVPing. |

Tank out the freighter and keep everything within it under 1B and you should hopefully be fine. |

best is to NOT autopilot, not overload, generally a 1:1 freighter to load value seems appropriate. that first response about trending kills before you set out is excellent advice. |

1) Create 1-2 alts on 2 alternative accounts. 2) Attack "something" at the in/out gates of the 0.5-0.7 sec system you want to pass by safely, 5-10 seconds before you jump in. So concord comes to kill your toons. 3) Enter the just "concorded" system and fly safely to the next gate.
Freighters without wardec are ganked in 0.5-0.7 systems, since otherwise u simply need to much ships and can't use cheap catas. U simply "pull" concord to the in/out gates, which is the opposite the gankers will do before. |

I've heard about this - could you describe it exactly? The main thing I don't understand is: How can the freighter warped if it is webbed and has no warp cores?
Thanks. |

Stasis Webifiers reduce the subwarp speed of a ship, Warp Disruptors (and Scramblers) stop you warping
You enter warp when your ship is at 75% of its current maximum velocity pointed at the destination
The order of things goes:
1. Freighter starts aligning, decloaks 2. Web ship locks Freighter 3. Freighter is at ~7% speed 4. 2+ webs land 5. Freighter max speed is now 1/10th of what it was, and it warps |

The main thing I don't understand is: How can the freighter warped if it is webbed and has no warp cores? Thanks. Entering warp requires 75% of max velocity. Webifiers lower the maximum velocity.
If you are already above the warp threshold velocity before web(s) are applied, you will instantly enter warp when web(s) are applied.
Stasis Webifier II: -60% max velocity
Web 0: 75% of max velocity to warp Web 1: 75% * (1 - 60% * 1.0 stacking penalty) = 30% of max velocity to warp Web 2: 30% * (1 - 60% * 0.869119980800 stacking penalty) = 14.35% of max velocity to warp Web 3: 14.35% * (1 - 60% * 0.57058314351 stacking penalty) = 9.44% of max velocity to warp Web 4: 9.44% * (1 - 60% * 0.282955154023 stacking penalty) = 7.8% of max velocity to warp
Example: Accelerate to >= 14.35% of max velocity, then apply double webs, and the ship will instantly enter warp.
I like to use a Hyena, because of the 40% per Electronic Attack Ships level web-range bonus; regional stargates are quite large. Web-strength bonuses are less important IMHO.
One can also safely overheat the webs for more range, as they only run for one cycle anyway. |

you only needed to read the first reply by Paranoid Loyd, people will gank empty freighters if they are bored, so there is no minimum value. |

You need to understand why people are ganking, then you can answer what safe thresholds might be.
There's 4 reasons people gank haulers.
1) Profit through plunder 2) Disruption of enemy logisiticians 3) Extortion 4) For the lulz
If your ganker falls into group 1, 600m in an anti-tanked or 1200m in a tanked freighter is reasonable. If you want to avoid group 2, don't carry alliance supplies. Be suspicious of parcels that are dozens of one ship, or thousands of the same module. If you want to avoid group 3, pay them off. There's noone really in group 4 - freighter ganking takes too much effort to do purely for the lulz. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=346564 - a proposal to overhaul the Logistics skill https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. www.minerbumping.com - ganking miners and causing chaos |
