I am just coming back to the game after a couple years off and have a large number of Researched Ship BPOs that have had their ME/TE values converted...and I'm not sure where to start in terms of pricing them for sale.
I am primarily dealing in Frig, Cruiser, Destroyer, Hauler, BC and BS blueprints, and would appreciate any thoughts you may have on how I should look at pricing them. Most of what I have is 10/20, but it also seems I have a large number of 10/0 or 10/18 as well.
Thanks! |

pretty sure this belongs in S&I but max ME is 10 now and max TE is 20 now. These can be modified with other factors which can be found here

I used to have a pretty specific system where I would charge ($NPC) + (ME * $x) + (TE * $y), where 'x' and 'y' were set amounts I could use across a tier of ship bpos.
For example, for Frigates I think it was something like x=$500k and y=$250k...so a 30/10 Frig BPO with an NPC cost of 3 million I would have sold for ($3mil)+(30*$0.5mil)+(10*$0.25mil) = $20.5 mil
I'm just curious if there is anything like the above numbers that are generally accepted as a good way to price BPOs now? |

Cost of researching a BPO is related to its recent-past average trading price of the item produced, plus it scales somewhat geometrically per level (similar to skill levels). The job history of the system you are in also affects research costs, as well as whether a POS is used or not (10% NPC tax vs. fuel costs)
The best you can do is to look-up a BPO on the market, get an estimate for your current location for ME and TE in the industry UI, and add them. |

The same way you've always calculated them. Whatever contracts says, it's always worked for me. .

Yup, sold a crapload of cap bpo's over the last 2 years and i do it that way.Just check contracts what the average price is then get my bpo base price off of it.If it think the base is too low i just hold on to it till it rises again eventually.Usually i aim for a 100m profit per ME on every bpo i researched myself.
Can't comment on the new system as i have not given it more then a glance as i stopped researching , just selling off the last loads slowly over the next months/year.
We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.
