I used to get perfect skills and standing for refining ores, but after last expansion many things are changed. So far as I known+îPOSn+êespecially Minmatar pos) have more reprocessing rate than stations in high sec. This is the main point makes me hesitate to pecfect my reprocess skills |

considering cannot go back to the old ways :P
They did increase the yeild of minerals for all ores. With perfect skills and top standing it comes out to be about 72% or something like that. ( with implant )
Which makes repressing the ore more valuable then selling it on the market.
Is it worth it? Well are you gonna train for t2 crystals anyhow?

Thaks for your reply.
What the "worth" I mean was about whether minerals was more valuable than raw ores before reprocessed. Because it takes me nearly a month to train perfect reporcessing skills. I am afraid mineral that I process from raw ores still less valuable that raw ores itself on the market, even I get perfect skills and standing and with 4% refinning implant. |

You have to do the maths for yourself.
However, your initial assumptions are incorrect insofar as yields, etc.
HISEC -- NPC Station -> 50% base .... skills + implant ends up with 72.4% <-- same result as pre-crius "100%" POS (any) --> 52% base ... skills + implant ends up with 75.3%
LOWSEC -- NPC Station -> (see hisec) POS (any) --> 54% base ... skills + implant ends up with 78.1%
NULL / W-SPACE POS (any) --> (See Lowsec) (NULL ONLY) Outpost (Minmatar) 60% base ... skills + implant ends up with 86.8%
NOTE -- above percentages all rounded to nearest tenths, and they are all maximized (i.e. 5/5/5 skills and the 4% implant).
Now, with that said, minerals are big (when compared to compressed ores), so you're not really going to be seeing competition from nullsec driving down prices because they can refine better. A full JF of compressed veldspar alone yields (IIRC) something like 15 loads of trit, if refined in a Minmatar Outpost.
The big thing in hisec is "compressed" ores, as you can move more minerals in less space than otherwise (e.g. 1 Compressed Veldspar is 0.15 m3, yields 415 Trit* which is 4.15 m3). These (currently) tend to be worth more than their mineral value, due to the "value-add" of compression (and, obviously, POS fuel).
*Before POS/Station inefficiencies and taxes, if applicable. One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

One months skill training time isn't that long in the greater scheme of things.
I haven't checked it out but for years there has been always been more profit in selling refined ore ie minerals versus selling unrefined ore. Providing you have access to 'perfect' refine and 'zero take' of course. I will be very surprised if this is no longer the case.
If you want to use T2 mining crystals you will need the relevant ore processing skills to level four anyway.
If you are not going to use minerals or get involved in construction and just mine you can get away not refining at all. Just get a small tower and array and compress your unrefined ore. Remember to do the maths though and sell your compressed ore for the max high sec refine value of the minerals within the ore. Never undersell your product/s. |

More skill = more minerals. The short answer to your question is, 'yes.'
However, please note that these days, reprocessing is for manufacturers, not miners. If you only mine, get your reprocessing skills good enough for T2 crystals and leave them there. Set up a POS and sell compressed ore. If you are a manufacturer, mine and buy the ore and reprocess to minerals to make your stuff. Manufacturers need perfect reprocessing skills. Miners just need enough reprocessing skills for crystals. |

The OP can get away with not training the reprocessing skills and selling compressed ore for the maximum high sec mineral reprocessing value. BUT that doesn't necessarily mean capsuleers should pigeon-hole themselves into any one activity as this can become boring very fast. It's best to combine a number of career options and there are many to chose from. You can easily combine industrial and combat type activities and many people do just that. |

In short: Yes, its worth it.
Perfect skills and standings + a 4% implant will get you the same as what used to be perfect. GÇ£I personally refuse to help AAA take space from itself so it can become an even shittier version of itselfGÇ¥ -Grath Telkin, 2014.
