Simply make it that, one of the modules has to be offline, and only one can be online, instead of having them to be not fitted at allą which is ridiculous IMO and to wait until the next expansion for a fix is also very ridiculous IMO
This way at least you can have both modules fitted and only would have either of them online.
DonĘt see why a simple fix cant be done like that...
It takes a lot away from the current recon ships, this bug.

im just wondering how long are we going to have ships that cant do what they say they can... or even fit right...
just wondering when is a hot fix going to come in... this dirty fix is best IMO, because it just puts a restriction and doesnt fix the real problem but at least gives the option of using the ship as it should be, just would require onlining and offlining the modules...
but as it stands you cant even fit both of them at the same time..
all it would have to say is something you can only have 1 cloaking device online... simple as that... you couldnt online the other module unless you offline it first...
i dont see any harm in an item being fitted that is offline since you cant use it... its almost like having it in your cargo...

Except it's not because cloaking devices give you penalties even when they're offline.

We dont need to change them, this is a bug.
The only Viable Fix, is having both fitted and be online allowing the cloak to be used at the same time. |

Is it a bug? If the intention is to make it impossible for a Force Recon ship to cloak, fly deep behind enemy lines in inviso-mode, then set up a cyno field when it gets there, then allowing them both to be fitted, but one offline, would not do the job.

no my point is i would like to have a HOT fix a temp one until they fix it right, but i dont want and dont think we should have to wait until kali and maybe it wont even get fixed then
i know they are both supposed to be used and thats what i want, but for now since there is a bug, i would like to have at least both fitted thats my point... some of you are missing

mm. I'll stick to a T1 frig rather than get a T2 cruiser shot up doing it. (Yes, you CAN shoot a cyno-using ship..)

Much as it scares me to say it, agree 100% with Maya on this one. The role bonus on Force Recons makes little sense even if the bug is fixed. It's only really viable for beach-heading with backup, which requires there to be multiple other non-capital ships to be there to assist - any other application just doesn't seem to justify the risk.

huh? the option of having a ship go into some system cloaked, then make cyno gen that is there for half the time, and you end up using 200 less fuel doing so? is not good? when you make the cyno, i doubt someone will have enough ppl if you jump in right away and defend the cyno gen guy...
and what does risk have anything to do with fixing a bug? thats your personal opinion if its expensive or not... that doesnt have anything to do with this needing to be fixed and that it gives a bonus that cant be used at the same time

Something needs doing, but not with any urgency IMO. Frankly I wouldn't be bothered to see the bonus moved to a more suitable (ie, cheaper) ship. Yes, it's a nice bonus, but given the vulnerability of the ship doing the generating it's not something I'd risk 150m of uninsured kit for in most circumstances

i agree with that, but i would like a fix heh, and yes a bonus should be given to some cheaper ship, and something more of maybe controlled on the recon would be the best choice....
i would love to see recon option to turn off cyno gen for example and all other ships stuck with the 10min or so rule... this would make this ship quite favorable IMO... quick tactic of jumping in capital ships would really make it worthwhile IMO to fly something of that isk value... rather then cheap t1 ship
I would recommend a 30sec (or 15) min and max of 10min
But still use the same amount of fuel?
