I was just wondering about a few things for noob PvP
1.) Should I fly a frigate or something else
2.) Railguns or blasters as a caldari , I'm leaning towards railguns and long ranged fighting
3.) where to fight small scale leaning towards just cruising through low sec
4.)Good fits
5.) Tips
Thanks |

1.) frigate is fine for starters. when you start winning 1v1s and otherwise getting an idea wtf you're doing, upgrade to whatever you want.
2.) depends much on your ship, fit and strategy. a blaster merlin is very strong and easy to fly, but you can make rails work as well.
3.) faction warfare is a good place to find frigate fights. roaming random lowsec is a mixed bag.
4.) here is a cookie cutter blaster merlin fit. you can downgrade the shield extender if the fitting is too tight. otherwise, try googling "eve pvp *ship name* fit". you will usually get decent results.
5.) fly cheap things, lose a lot of them and try to learn as much as possible from each loss until you start winning. you will learn much faster if you find a few friends to fly with.

for PVE, long range weapons are generally preferred because the range advantage outweighs the drawbacks. PVP is another story though; if you manage to get close and personal, blasters will make quick work of an otherwise equally strong opponent.

Davey Talvanen wrote:thanks I'll be enlisting in FW with a merlin equiped with blasters after either the noobie agents or SOE arc, advice? - personally, i find the sisters arc a little tedious but it is good money when you are new, so do it if you have the patience i guess. - expect to lose at least a few dozen ships before you make your first kill. do not let that discourage you and, once more, fly cheap. - the militia channels can sometimes be a retardfest, but usually they are worth lurking in. - be aware that you can make decent ISK by cashing out loyalty points. read up on how to do it if you haven't already.

Yeah.
If it is 1 merlin with blasters, dont even bother.
You will need MANY. Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy
