Edited by: Yal XianKun on 26/07/2006 09:22:14 This is a general request for information from the capsuleer community. Somebody knows something.
According to survivors, at approximately 00:30 hours EST last night, three Amarrians dressed as pilgrims entered an Ishukone station in orbit around Kor-Azor Prime, at which our main research lab is situated. They proceeded away from the public areas of the station and approached our corporate hangar.
At 00:38, we lost all sensor data from our security systems.
What we gather is that they were challenged by two members of our civilian security team, who were immediately gunned down. Initial results of a private autopsy show the fatal wounds to be cauterized as if by energy sidearms.
We are surmising, based on finding robes within our corporate hangar, that they removed their disguises and compromised the security around our restricted areas. An internal security audit this morning has shown that several important documents and R&D databases are missing or have been accessed. The full extent of the insurgency is still being investigated by members of the Ordo Arcanum, our Intelligence division.
Members of the Ordo Praetoria were alerted by the sound of an alarm on a separate system, and proceeded to the hangar. Additional capsuleer members of this division also set course for the station but were engaged in operations within the State.
A running gun battle ensued within the corridors of the station between the insurgents and our personnel. One was seriously injured by rail fire and is quite likely in need of urgent medical attention. One committed suicide by diving into a plasma conduit to avoid capture. The other two are missing. In addition a number of civilians were injured in the crossfire, and a member of Ishukone Watch was killed. We are unclear as to if this unfortunate death was caused by the Amarrians or by our own team in the confusion. If our personnel are found responsible we will pay compensation to her employer and family. We are co-operating fully with the Watch in this matter.
The two wounded Amarrians are believed to have commandeered, or already have docked, a vessel and fled the scene. We suspect that the vessel rendezvoused with a capsuleers vessel insystem. We are contacting Interbus and Concord to see if they can take the unusual step of providing any records for jumps, ship IFF and transponder codes, or last know trajectories within the timeframe of the attack.
The situation in the aftermath is still very chaotic and some reports are conflicting. We therefore are asking if Ishukone can provide us with their own internal surveillance feeds as ours were rendered inoperative.
This was a very slick, well-planned insurgency against us, which has the resulted in the deaths of three Caldari, and the injuring of another four Amarrians and Khanid who simply were in the wrong place at the wrong time. The main security system was provided by Ishukone, but the backup was one we installed ourselves. They knew where to hit our sensors, our movements, which station to hit, and they were willing to die to get sensitive information.
Such a raid cannot be conceivably considered an opportunistic attempt, and therefore we are appealing to the capsuleers community. Did they commandeer your vessel? Were you in Kor-Azor Prime at the time? Do you know who was behind this, or have any further information? We want to hear from you.
Let me be unequivocal on this: the Adeptus Illuminati Aegis Authentica consider the theft of its proprietary information and murder of its brothers and sisters as an act of war, and if we find out those behind this attack, we will fall on you with the full might and fury we can muster to avenge this aggression.
We will release further information as deemed appropriate.

Edited by: Yal XianKun on 27/07/2006 05:39:12 I regret to inform that one of the civilians unfortunately involved in this incident has died of his wounds. We are attempting to assist in contacting his family.
Originally by: Wanoah Have you considered that it might be an inside job? Trust is one of the most valuable commodities in New Eden, after all.
At this time we are not ruling out assistance from within, former or current "allies", or associations of any kind.
At present we do not intend to make any further announcements until after the funerals of the two officers this weekend. I hope you all will join me in condolence to the families and friends of these two.
