Hi there, so long story short. A couple years ago, I started the caldari cosmos chain(was bored, wanted to mess around). Then partway through, i left the game for a few weeks and it registered that i had failed the mission. Didnt think much of it then, but i feel like taking a stab at them again.
So, do i just go talk to the agent and restart it or something?
Or petition a GM to reset the chain? |

Ahhh, Cosmos. If you fail, quit, decline or let a mission offer expire, you get locked out of accessing that agent and possibly other agents as well. Personally I don't agree with the decline or offer expire mechanics but oh well.
It's doubtful CCP will reset the agent but still worth the time to submit a Support Ticket and hopefully get a reset.
Since it's been a long time since you've done Cosmos you probably don't remember which agents were completed.
Easiest way to check is to open the agents info box and select the 'Standings' tab. Only show info on the agent, do not talk to agent. If the agent has a neutral standing (0.00) towards you in his 'Standings' tab then it's still available as long as you have the correct amount of Faction standing. If there's a negative or positive number, then that agent has been accessed in the past and is no longer available.
If the agent (accessed and not completed in the past) had a reward that was a token item for access to another agent, then hopefully you can acquire that item from Market or Contracts and continue working the chain. Google info on the agent to see if it gave a specific item to access another agent.
If the required item isn't available in the Market or in Contracts then the next option is to post a thread here in the forums, hopefully someone will have the item. If not then you might try asking CCP via Support Ticket for the required item.
Last but not least, the 'Faction Standing Repair Plan' might be helpful. It contains some Cosmos guide links and includes info on various Event Agents that give Faction standing increase.
Good luck to you.

A GM did so for me when I accidentally let one expire. Didn't reset the entire chain, just made that one whose offer I let expire be re-offered
