CCP Greyscale wanted separate threads for each topic
I don't see anything different
Same price to install in a POS as in station, i thought POS's were supposed to be cheaper
I can't compare stations anymore due to the system index, but it wasn't working initially, same price to install BPO anywhere |

I believe the actual build cost is unchanged through out a system, the benefits of a POS come from specialized modules and no tax. Unless you're referring to something else. |

maybe, hard to say....sooo many changes, some more documented than others, but the stations are definitely not applying the correct cost modifiers |

As far as I'm aware, an outpost will give a ME (max 5%) reduction and a time reduction. Not exactly straight up cost reduction but less time usually means cheaper costs. |

It's 9% cheaper to install in a POS. (or to be more accurate, it's 10% more expensive to install in a station)
That's a 1.1 multiplier on the install cost. Woo! CSM 9! http://fuzzwork.enterprises/ Twitter: @fuzzysteve on Twitter |

So, here are 2 screenshots taken literally seconds apart, first one in station for 37 mil install cost and the second in a CAA in a pos for 39 mil install cost
Not sure how that works with your current math above.....

Huh. That's weird.
I'd assume the 10% shows up when you hover on the cost for the station, but doesn't appear to do anything else? (and that it's an NPC station, in the same system)

for ***** and grins, and so you couldn't say well, you are only comparing, i flew the BPO to the pos and tried it there, same thing, same cost.
The station is a minnie station and the pos is in the same system, you can clearly see the time difference int he build, so between being shorter and cheaper - there is no F'in way it should cost more
If someone else tells me it is not broken, they are going to have to show ******* MATH to prove it
NOW - this has nothing to do with station modifiers, which now due to system indexes is almost hard to prove, but they aren't working either and i am trying to find 2 systems to compare that have the same index

It's the same INSTALL COST (which is working as intended). But now look at the TTC in station / POS
Station -- 10d, some change hours POS - 7.5d
Now, as I recall, the "first" job of any set of runs will always be the most expensive, with additional material/install cost bonuses for each subsequent run thereafter (to some maximum).
What this means for you is that, assuming you were maximizing runs ..
Station -> 3 runs (approx 30d, 6h or so), with say a 1% reduction on install/material costs for run 2, and a 2% reduction for run 3. POS -> 4 runs (approx 30d 5h), with say a 1% reduction for run 2, 2% for run 3, and 3% for run 4.
Over time, that additional 3% you're getting per 30d adds up in a POS.
Now, I'm assuming that there are NO calculated time bonuses for the second/third/fourth/etc run -- if there were, you would only need to be able to shave off 0.5% of your total build time to cram in a 5th run in a POS, vs. 1% to get a 4th run in station (not that 1% is exactly hard to come by). One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

Both of my examples were 100 runs as you can clearly see on the ginaormous UI |

Station is applying the cost reduction,
I believe what you are missing is the Mineral Requirements that are reduced in The POS,
Less minerals meaning it costs less overall, hence it appears of similar cost
Does that Help ? and now for some more of the same from the Constructive Feedback Consortium.

I've often found the UI doesn't update properly when changes are made.
I've gotten in the habit of clicking on the installation last, on the installation tab, before looking at prices. |
