In some chronicles (related to tyrannis) was evidence that capsuleer was destroyed a settlement to clear place for a planetary automatic plant. Furthermore now they are eradicating countless thousands of innocent pirates daily, faithfully following path of genocide. Some capsuleer ships fly without crew, and there is possibility to fly even larger crewless ships, rogue drone ships alike. In recent "teaser" we see that empire authorities lose control on the capsuleers.
What if they to believe in thing they can be only kind of life, the life with conjunction with machines. By evolving up their machineries they become independent from mankind by this way. Eventually utterly get rid of the mankind as it useless and can be a possible threat in future.

Actually if you read the lore properly even a fitted frigate requires crew in addition to a pod to operate at peak efficiency. The only ships that are without crew are shuttles & certain frigates if they have no fittings. |

Much of the lore has been twisted and doesn't apply to the current trailer campaign of capsuleers are evil. All Pirate corporations are flagged criminal because they have stolen BPOs from Empires and modified them, turning them in to what we call faction and meta modules. From the eyes of the empire, they are seen as pirate copies of their stuff and so the pirates are called pirates. It isn't a Jack Sparrow style pirate. It's a corporate warfare kind of pirate. Even the Sansha Nation 'stole' the tech they use to conduct their experiments.
The only way to see us as a threat using lore is to give us the ability to create modified versions of ships and modules or see our use of the pirate ships as illegal. Though I suppose the ability to create Jump Gates would also put us on the page of criminal. Criminal being any one able to live 'off the grid' for lack of a better term. A point in time where we can conduct affairs with no control of empires to regulate us. R.I.P. Vile Rat |

Capsuleers rely upon those normal people to keep their clone vats cooking.
Any attempt to wipe out regular humanity would see that humanity shut down those vats and that would pretty much end "immortality" for pod pilots.
No, they won't try and wipe out all human life - that would end as suicide. |
