Returning tribespeople, from the Nefantar and Starkmanir Tribes, have overcome many hardships in their efforts to re-integrate into the Republic.
Clan chiefs are still concerned that discrimination still takes place, as centuries of distrust has yet to be overcome.
One of the latest areas of concern are some of the traditional playground games played by children in the Republic. "Cops and Nefantars", a game where children divide into two teams, one notionally the Republic Security Services, the other Nefantar Traitors, and shoot at each other with imaginary guns, is one such game.
"Cops and Nefantars is offensive!", said one concerned Nefantar mother. "my child never gets to pick a team, he's always forced to be the bad guy!" "Ach, it's just a bit of fun, ultimately, the Amarrians are to blame", said one unconcerned Sebiestor teacher's union representative. "Be glad the kids are getting fresh air and exercise, not like those poor Gallente children, with their drugs and implants", said a Brutor physical education teacher.
Nefantar clan chiefs have suggested that the game be renamed to "Cops and Angels", where the Cartel take the place as the "bad guys", instead of the Nefantar.
Meanwhile, Starkmanir community leaders are concerned at the depictions of Starkmanir in entertainment shows.
"Whenever there is a character that is a little slow, or rustic, they always have them as a Starkmanir", said one Starkmanir actress.
It is clear, that the returning Tribes still have much to do, to become integral parts of the Republic. |

It is unfortunate but I have to admit that such a thing does happen. Our history with the Nefantar isn't going to be buried for another century or so. Then there's the Starkmanir. We really do not know all that much about them and we do not quite know what to make of them. Worse, it also seems that the Starkmanir aren't sure about themselves either. |

Telling kids they have to change the name of a playground game.
Yeah, that's going to work. An in-character blog and a video: http://verinsjournal.blogspot.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu1mbsgo738

With all due respect, "Cops and Angels" does sound silly, especially for children, who would associate angels with mythological beings instead of criminal cartel. I would recommend renaming it to "Cops and Gallenteans", so every child will learn, who are the real bad guys.

You might get complaints from parents about teaching children that cops are the bad guys. |

I can see the same problem appearing with 'Cops and Angels' in certain corners of the Republic.

You might get complaints from parents about teaching children that cops are the bad guys. Actually, cops are the good guys, who should fight with scum and protect the society from undesirable and destructive elements. That's why I have suggested "Cops and Gallenteans". |
