I'm having a problem with my modules deactivating when my lock is unsuccessful.
I've been hunting down pirates in high sec who are flagged as criminal. I will usually tackle them for concord to come dps them. I can usually get them in a ship, problem comes to pods. After I get their ship destroyed, I use the skills I picked up a long time ago in null to predict where they are going. Most of the time I am right and I wait for them in my interceptor.
I active my warp scrambler, I am in range, and I try to acquire a lock. The time between coming out of warp and warping off to the to a random place to get away from me is incredibly small. So I try acquiring lock, and my warp scrambler is instantly disabled on the first failed lock. Of course this causes problems I have to sit and spam Lock/Warp scramble. It happens so fast that I can cancel my own warp scramble and they get away. Other times I think the activated module got them but nope, It turned it self off just a half second earlier.
It would be a great help to us very few hi sec bounty hunters if we can get this fixed. Modules shouldn't deactivate on a failed lock.

I have noticed the same thing which is new.
Previously any target that can't get a lock would only look like its locking for maybe 5% of the locking time and therefore allow you to keep spamming lock untill it took hold.
Now even if the target was invulnerable at some stage before its vulnerable it allows the lock to appear as if its taken hold meaning you stop spamming lock .. at the end of the normal lock time it wil lose lock and deactivate all modules accordingly.
Its very annoying with frigs in pve .. it will be mean life or death in pvp. |

I've lost over a dozen kills this weekend now thanks to this. I even had a -10sec pirate cursing me out in local, so I wanted to kill him. I wait for him on the other side of the gate, make sure my warp disrupter is blinking and ready to go. He jumps through I lock him instantly, It was locked a good 2 seconds before I realize that the module deactivated itself on lock on. Hes headed into warp as soon as I start reaching for the hotkey, poof, gone. This is getting frustrating. |
