Well, Imgur starts are kinda broken , but the calendar album has reached 16,787 views!
The single most viewed image is the cover with 26,883 views and the others follow in decreasing order: January 25,163 views, February 23,621 views, March 23,294, et cetera. December, which is the last image in the gallery, has been viewed 12,178 times.
I guess that none of the models ever expected her boobs to be viewed by so many people...

Well, well, well...
As I said on another thread, I introduced the calendars (this one and the other two projects released after it) to the o7 show crew and have received back a mail from CCP Manifest.
Essentially, they are following the project but it's not something they can support officially for obvious reasons* (26 of them, if you count them pair by pair).
Anyway I am proud that at least they've taken notice of the project. If I ever figure how to shape another project I fancy (and whether I can carry it to its end), I swear it will stay in the PC side of corporatism.
*but then, what could be done with a idea inspired by a pantsu party at The Greater Fool Bar...?

My dearest and most second favorite little Banana,
They prolly waiting for The SquadGäó members to get involved in some of this stuff again before they take it seriously, understandably.
In the high stakes, high demand world of high fashion in New Eden quality is becoming harder to find. While there's never a shortage of pilots willing to strip their clothes off before a holocam, and graphic artists willing to piece together professional calenders from the results, most would-be calenderettes are unfortunately blessed with heads akin to a smashed crab.
The efforts are admirable, yet without the contribution of some of New Eden's most wanted head-turners it's doubtful the products will ever see their true potential. In the case of The SquadGäó, at least, it's unfortunate that we no longer contribute freely to public works, having since realised our standing as Anoikin fashion elite. But there is always hope with new capsuleers born everyday, and an endless market with 'roid belts set to always be full of grubby handed miners operating their lasers with one hand while the other clutches a calender tightly.
There is a market. There is quality production teams. We just need the missing link - true beauty, and you'll find the devs of our heart won't be able to wrap their clammy grasp around a calender copy quick enough, eager to seed all of New Eden with it's eye-catching, groin-tingling, subscription-boosting glamor.
Yours, Erica

I'm being egotistical and silly.
It's kinda what I do all the time so I wouldn't take it for reals....
Though to be honest, from a purely personal perspective, I'm honest when I say there's been very few characters in these that I find in anyway above mediocre levels of attractiveness, which thus lowers my overall interest in the resulting calenders. Just my opinion.

Well, the calendar hasn't fared bad so far, with over 17,000 views of the whole set and Janaury being viewed almost 26,000 times.
It's a large success compared to the ambition behind it.

I wasn't trying to be critical of it, more of the ambition to make this a more widely circulated thing. Beyond those of us who already adore this kind of thing, that is.
I believe for that a special angle of attack is required in the "marketing", revolving fully around it's subject matter.

Edit: I mean if people want to get the calenders out there, circulating and causing interest on radio shows, podcasts or news sites then it needs to have something special. People want to either see pilots who're very hot and/or well known for something, just like in real life. Take the New Order calender for instance, I think Candi explained my thoughts - average models but a great overall calender in terms of professional layout.
Love or hate CODE, people will want to see it not for eye-candy but because those in it are either well known or controversial pilots.
If people are serious about calenders becoming a thing, appealing to the mass market, tv shows n' podcasts then they need a serious angle - beyond average capsuleers posing for pics. They need to be known personalities that people WANT to see, controversial ones, popular ones - or if unknowns then simply pilots so gorgeous they don't care who they are.
It's like selling a tabloid. The results need to be stunning and/or controversial in some way. Erica ... you have to consider evolution and organic growth.
First there was the OOPE calendar. The idea itself was special.
Then I came up with the underwear glitch, which is special too, because it's absolutely "clever use of game mechanics". (to quote CCP directly)
Due to reallife I failed to create a calendar, but it was enough to trigger someone, Indah, to make her own.
That, too, is special.
HER calendar triggered someone else to create another calendar!
Now I have to cut your elitism short. Indah's calendar got viewed by tens of THOUSANDS of people, as can be seen by the views of the calendar on imgur. Of course, we can also see that the interest dropped per page. Each consecutive month had less views, which means that people were interested, but less and less people cared enough to keep looking at the next month.
That's fine though and was absolutely predictable ... at least for my mind. Expecting a hypermajor success is delusional and considering the amount of views thanks to "Something Awfull" already is a big success by itself!
I can assure you that several thousand more people know who Indah is, thanks to her calendar, than there are people who know you.
In the eyes of CCP we are all equal. Instead of believing to be elite ... ... we should work together for a common goal. You are not working for that goal though, you are only working for yourself. You either want avatar-stuff to get pushed forward, or you don't.
There is no room for "I" here. The "I" will only get pushed out eventually, because the "I" thinks it's too important to help growing the "We".
That's not how it works! When this takes off, people will only point at you and say "Well you didn't care about helping us grow this, so ... well, too bad, thanks for the attitude."
TL;DR:
Your undeserved elitism makes you ignore the gigantic amount of special we already have here. Instead of helping making it more special, you complain about it not being special enough.
What you want is to be there when it is "special in your eyes", instead of helping us making it "as special as it can become!".
And that's why your words make me angry!
You are not special! Dare I say more people know ME than there are knowing YOU, simply because of all the **** I have done so players like YOU can enjoy the game even more!
Yet you see me cheering literally everything that supports the common cause!
More people know Indah, because of the work she has put into the calendar!
You don't see her talk down on the New Order calendar as well! She supports the common cause!
You are certainly special within your own range, but our range extends farther than that!
So instead of isolating yourself on your high horse, preventing evolution, accept that we are all equal and help making what we work for a reality!

I was being silly and shitposting.
Then decided to morph it into an actual semi-serious post of costructive critisism regarding maybe why the concept hasn't been grabbed more firmly by places like the 07 show.
Usually people react to such critique by either a) Feeling it's wrong and disgarding it, ignoring it or b)Taking something from it for thought.
Occasionally though someone will be a c) and just get their panties in a knot instead.
Save your reasoning for people like the o7 show to convince them to give these things more exposure. As for the personal **** or comments in your post well just save those all together and take some deep breaths ffs.

Hiding your elitistic behaviour behind "I don't mean it that way" does not work, because if it's truly the case you wouldn't behave that way in the first place!
Your "constructive criticism" was nothing short of belittling our efforts and making you yourself look like you are overly space important.

No offence but you really need to learn to recognise a bit of sattire and silliess and not take everthing so personally.
The only part of what I've said that could come across elitist was the satiracle stuff in my first post. I kinda meant it to come across like that, you know? Because I was being silly ...
These calenders are ******* awesome, and I've always loved them and the effort people put into them.
It's other people, like 07 show as mentioned, that aren't grabbing the concept. My opinion regarding that is such things would prolly need to be more appealing to a wide audience than just us die-hards. Traditional sales concepts, that's all it is. Sex and celebrity sells. Housewives next door well ... they generally don't.

There is no way for everyone to tell when you are being serious and when not.
I could as well just claim that now you are doing damage control ... ... but that's completely pointless ... ... and I am rather happy that you are being honest now!
Tbh I have no idea what's up with the o7 show or why they would mention this.
Sibyyl would have said "Tell Sol. Sol makes **** happen."
Now I agree that housewives .... omg that made me laugh so much XD ... ... aren't really much of a thing.
The New Order calendar is full of them too. I like the general design, but the praising and below average characters are a downer.
Problem with a proper sexy calendar is that the game doesn't really offer that much. Using too much from out-of-game defeats the purpose of promoting ingame things.
Like ... as much as I like BJ's work with the avatars, it pushes way beyond what's helpfull. I'm not even happy with white stockings I added to legs, so I don't leave myself out here either.
Sex sells. Erotics sell. Atmosphere sells.
Personally, I believe something that's more like this ... ... http://i.imgur.com/1JFaVk2.png ... (that's not done) ... would be very helpfull.
Or a proper, color manipulated shot of your rear! Something that takes original shots and puts them into a proper athmosphere.
You can certainly help!

I'm not here to make anything happen but a smile on my own face. If in doing so I bring some to others too then +1. I'm not here to explore anything deep and meaningful or change people's percetptions. If it happens on it's own as a consequence of me having my fun though then cool.
Though you're probably right that in this instance I failed to appreciate the apparent seriousness of this topic. So my bad, forgive my interruption by being silly, mixed with some actual critique, and carry on. Go make it happen.

A lot of that amusement comes from being a shameless idiot.
Beyond eve pretty much every part of my life is to provide for my family and friends, even my day job is all about other peope's interests.
