So noob. My gatling gun says it has no charges. What do I do to charge up or provide charges? And where would I go to learn about this? |

You learn it from reading the tutorial as you equipped it and started using it. |

I bought this shotgun...but it doesnt fire.
Maybe, read the tutorials and you would have known that *how obvious* a gun needs ammo. Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

To be fair, the tutorial rather confusing things by giving you a civilian weapon which doesn't use ammunition, whereas every other weapon in the game does. J'Poll correctly lists the types of ammo for different turret types. Missiles also come in different varieties based on their "size". www.ensignyooch.wordpress.com

As mentioned if you are using civilian guns they do not require ammo, all others do, the ammo can be purchased from the market.
Ralph linked a good guide, eve uni keeps their site pretty well updated so I usually check there for info first, read this too, in particular section 7. Make sure you understand what you are getting yourself into
Isk the guide also has good info although some may be outdated.
Eve is constantly changing so keep that in mind if something does not seem right compared to what you read it very well may have changed. Read the dev blogs and patch notes to keep yourself up to date. "PvE in EVE is a trap to turn you into PvP content, don't confuse it for actual gameplay." Lipbite |

Yeah, I skipped the missiles part as they are slightly harder to explain as each range and size type of missile is just named differently. Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

Unless it has changed very recently, the tutorial does not give civilian guns. I am fairly sure that the only way to get civilian guns these days is by repackaging and reassembling a rookie ship or receiving a new rookie ship. |

Correct Oraac, just rolled an alt today.
Tutorials no longer give civilian guns, you collect a naked (no civilian gun / miner) rookie frigate and then in the next step you are handed a normal gun.
Tutorial also mentions how to load ammo (not how to buy more though).
Civilian guns are only obtainable by repacking your rookie ship and reassembling it (or dock in any station before you collect your first rookie ship / any other station then where your rookie ship are after the first mission). Personal channel: Crazy Dutch Guy

Ah I see. I must have done one of those things. I vaguely remember some confusion about ammo. www.ensignyooch.wordpress.com
