So I am back after a bit of time off and after running a few lvl 4s my raven feels so slow .Reaching 40m-1hr a mission I need suggestions on a better boat I don't think that the RNI will increase my speed by that much.

Your biggest issue atm is applied dmg, paper dps might be high but ur not dealing paper dps.
A few options off the top of my head: * Navy raven will give you more applied dmg. * Make sure u switch all ur rigs to rigors. * You could use more navy ballistic controls if u wanted. * Might as well upgrade to a meta 4 painter. They're cheap. * switch to active hardeners, add more target painters * Hardwirings are nice. * Golem has amazing applied dmg, plus you can loot and salvage on the go. * Tractor beam for missions that make u loot a mission item |

Scorpion Navy cos of the mid slots. MWD, MJD, painters, active tank with just one amp (get Crystal boost implants), invun shield, shield rigs and some balistic controls on low slots and maybe a cap boost for the MWD.. and you'll be shredding through the missions. |

I love my Navy Scorp (and my Rattlesnake). I pull it out whenever I have kids around so when I hear something crash and break I can leave without having to warp out of a mission. Yea my fit is gimmicky lol, but it works (with high skills, partial mid grade crystal set and missile hardwirings).

Cap stable with the MWD and target painters off (which they all are when i have to AFKBK (Away from Keyboard because kids lol).

I just turn the gecko out, pick something to orbit, kill the small stuff and let the gecko pick his own targets. |

I'd pick the CNR over the navy scorp any day, more dps is just better. having room for a MJD and a mwd and a whatever is just a waste of slots imo, and shield rigs lulz! Plus if you don't have BS5 it wins on damage. The "Raven a la Liang" fit works well on the CNR just add more launchers.
the rattlesnake is a dps monster, but requires a ton of management. with the resist bonus it is easy to throw a large tank on there with not many slots used. aside from that as many damage mods as you can cram on it. Geckos are awesome for anything in close, and you have room for a few sets of sentries which are awesome for projecting damage all over. 1200 dps is pretty easy to hit, with some shiny and high skills you can hit over 1700. You can trust me, I have a monocole |

I prefer the scrop navy over the raven navy as you can run 2x tp which help quite a bit.
How are you're missile support skills, they make a big difference. Also don't shoot fury at everything. The rats you shooting also make a big difference to what ship you use. If you shooting angels nothing will beat a mach, haven't tried a varg yet as I can't fly it. If you shooting em weak rats, lasers are the way to go, NM works really well but I would suggest a pally purely for the immune to ewar bit. I find the tengu still very good at missions against guristas, but with all the ewar a golem does OK, I am not convinced better though as small stuff takes longer to kill. seeing a pattern yet ??? just fly maruaders as their immunity to ewar and the boosting power of the bastion is a massive bonus. If you only going for one, and as you are crusier skilled.. get a golem. It will be noticeably quicker. . |

A lot of people (like me) don't run missions for the ISK p/h (though fit shown is effective). The shield rigs are for the chill and afk factor (as pointed out already). The MJD is actually quite handy in a bunch of missions and speed things up. Anyway, I prefer a couple of painters over raw paper damage with extra launcher rigs (paper damage means ****). The Navy Scorpion is just more versatile cos of the extra mid slots. You can get an insane tank, but you can also do a tripple painter, or MJD and MWD or cap boost the crap out of it, etc. Nah hail to the Navy Scorpion. |

Chainsaw Plankton wrote:snip.. P.S, I am curious about your fit, cos if you are using launcher rigs you gotta have to use mid slots for resistance. As my example fit shows with the shield rigs I already have an omni resistance going on suitable for all missions, just adding 1 invun shiled is enough to have a decent omni resitance.... leaving me thus with 7 more mid slots I can use for more damage, more shield, more cap, sensors, etc. |

If you have near max fittings skills, Minmatar BS V and T2 sentries, the Typhoon can do 1100 dps even with some 3% hardwires, better with 5%. That's an all T2 fit with 3 slot armor tank and LAR II. |

If I want chill factor it is very easy to throw a MJD and 2 drone link augmentors on a rattlesnake, Sentry drones do a very good job at picking stuff off at range. Or put a MJD on the CNR, and then usually load up auto-targeting missiles. With the rigor rigs and CNR bonus t1/faction/auto-targeting missiles have very good application. If I wanted to fly triple painters I would fly my golem.
With an undersized deadspace booster, such as a Pithum c-type medium shield booster, it is very easy to tank nearly any mission at MJD range, and with the cap use you almost don't have to worry about cap.

most ships I have have 2x invlun IIs, pith c-type xl booster, and heavy injector for tank. With a dps heavy setup tank is almost an afterthought. I mean you have room for 2x primary 1x secondary mission specific hardeners, but I'm lazy.
I don't have a missile spreadsheet, so I can't really say, but I think using rigors is generally better than painters. I'm looking at an eft dps graph, and a 2x rigor II 1x Flare II 1 RF painter looks to out damage a 5 painter navy scorp with no rigors. One rigor II brings the 5 painter navy scorp almost to the CNR level, two is bit above, and add in a flare rig and it gets even better. That said add a 2nd painter on the CNR and it nearly catches up. This is all with max skills and 5% implants. Golem catches up somewhere in the middle with 4 painters and no rigors. with rigors and a bunch of painters the golem does very well with application.
I'm just more convinced for the CNR right now. You can trust me, I have a monocole |

Well i took the suggestion of changing my rigs and its definitely faster now it seems i underestimated how well i would be able to manage cap while tanking.
Since it was asked all my missile skills are 5 except for guided missile precision which is at 4.
I'm gonna save up money for an upgraded missile boat then. |
