Hello everyone!
Can anyone help me out with my launcher? I tried looking through recent threads but there are a million different issues with the launcher that people are having but I didn't see this in the ones that I checked. If there is, please direct me! Thanks.
http://puu.sh/bNWwb/a6bf463d93.png
My launcher is stuck at 'CREATING EVE_ONLINE_826156-828310_WIN.PATCH 15.0%', the launcher is still working just fine but when I try and close the launcher it crashes. I have tried running the repair tool but no luck there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Howling |

Can you grab the logs? You can find them under launcher\cache, and you can put them on http://pastebin.com/ (for example) so we can read them EVE Launcher - Team Special Circumstances |

Try adding /ignorecerterrors to the shortcut you use to start the game with. EVE Launcher - Team Special Circumstances |

Are you sure you started it correctly? The log shows that no command line arguments were passed to the EVE Launcher: see the line 2014-09-28 01:44:30,924 - root - initialization - INFO - Application started via ['C:\\Program Files\\CCP\\EVE\\launcher\\appdata\\EVE_Online_Launcher-2.1.826897.win32\\launcher.exe']
If the command line argument was being passed on correctly it would have it listed at the end of the log line. |

I've also been getting the steam token error. I also have steam installed, but do not have Eve installed through steam. I can bypass the launcher by using the exefile.exe, but using the normal launcher just opens up a search page. Excerpt from my debug.log:
[0929/095842:ERROR:backend_impl.cc(2139)] Corrupt Index file [0929/095842:ERROR:cache_util_win.cc(48)] Unable to move the cache: 5 [0929/095842:ERROR:backend_impl.cc(146)] Unable to move cache folder [0929/095842:ERROR:backend_impl.cc(287)] Unable to create cache [0929/095842:INFO:CONSOLE(0)] "Uncaught ReferenceError: downloadProgressUpdate is not defined," source: http://none/en?steam_token=(0)
Removing the steam_api.dll causes the launcher to load an "exception", but then gives the option to start eve.
Exception
Traceback (most recent call last): File "launcher.py", line 117, in main File "lib\controller.pyo", line 121, in __init__ File "wx\lib\pubsub\pubsub1\pub.pyo", line 750, in sendMessage File "wx\lib\pubsub\pubsub1\pub.pyo", line 423, in sendMessage File "wx\lib\pubsub\pubsub1\pub.pyo", line 261, in sendMessage File "lib\controller.pyo", line 126, in OnInit File "zipextimporter.pyo", line 98, in load_module ImportError: MemoryLoadLibrary failed loading steamapi.pyd
The exception goes on for quite a bit, if you want a log of it let me know, but not sure it'll help since really I'm causing it by removing the dll |

http://pastebin.com/ACReFb3e - Fixed. I goofed and launched from the wrong shortcut, but the problem is still there even with the correct shortcut. |

So it turns out that my firewall was causing issues. I have recently moved in to student accommodation and when joining the network I set it up as public instead of home.
I am now fully patched and logged in! \o/
Thanks for the help anyway, Im just glad its working =) |

Oh no! Okay, the problem is back and the firewall is seemingly not to blame. Same error as before, I dont know how it worked last time but it must have been a fluke. Any more help would be lovely =) |
