Sometimes - and even often times, life tests us.
You may succeed or fail at the test but how you succeed or fail depends on you, totally.
Many a men failed in many venues (me included) but it's very different - and seen by everybody - to have tried, to have fought till the end, OR give up and close down into a never ending thumb suckling and tears dropping.
Is it karma? No. But it's about being a certain kind of man... or another. And THAT exists. And everybody see it.

If that was even true, then you live under a bridge because you believe you are so little worth that you self-condemn yourself at acting in a way that shall lead you to live under a bridge.
People can and DO fall, some don't give up and stand up again and fight till the sweet or bitter end. The others consciously or unconsiously self believe to not deserve a second chance and just sit down and wait for the end to come. Confirmation bias. Bad things will happen to you eventually, and when they do happen, your mind rationalises something bad you've done in the past as the reason. Which is totally bull.

That's an entirely different matter. But I do agree with that part. Mirrored eyes |

It's not confirmation bias, in my now not-so-short life I have seen it happen countless times. There are very few sons of a b!tch who end up well, they pave their own road to self destruction by never stopping going too far until they get burned.

That happens to people who never did anything wrong as well. I seem them every day. The difference is that they end up on the streets, searching through the trash for something to eat instead of winding up dead. Mirrored eyes |
