Don't fly what you can't afford to lose (this includes the contents of your cargo) There is no honor in EVE. If you get mad over space pixels, you are the one who has issues, not the person that caused you to get mad. Play against the character not the person sitting at the keyboard. Tears are more glorious when you let them flow naturally instead of trying to extract them. "PvE in EVE is a trap to turn you into PvP content, don't confuse it for actual gameplay." Lipbite |

Try things, find what you love and then do that but dont be afraid to do other things as well as sooner or later the CCP nerf hammer WILL fall on your beloved.
Grow, evolve, adapt.
Remember it IS just a game.
Make friends, the more the better.
Dont be afraid to fail, especially early as you try new things. Strength isnt measured in numbers but in force of will. For if one motived willful individual stands many will fall around him that are weak.

1. Be patient... this is a "process game." The only goals out there are those you set for yourself and it takes quite some time before you become even 90% comfortable doing things.
2. Talk with others and show a good attitude... even if you do not want to or have good reason to. This is a game after all. You are here to have fun and sometimes you have to learn and connect with others to have more fun (or better protect the fun you desire).
3. Learn the basics of PvP, PvE, and industry... even if you have no interest in any of them. They all affect each other in some way and no one is immune.
4. Understand that this is a multiplayer sandbox. This means that you can do whatever you want in the game... but other players can do the same thing... even if it runs counter to your goals and objectives.
5. Nothing is guaranteed in EVE. I am no more guaranteed to kill you than you are in avoiding me killing you. Likewise, I am no more guaranteed to get a "fair price" from you than you are in selling me stuff at an "unfair price." The trick is to stack the odds in your favor whenever and however you can (see Point #3). Change isn't bad, but it isn't always good. Sometimes, the oldest and most simple of things can be the most elegant and effective.

1. Don't trust anybody, not even your corp or the new guy invited. Stay on friendly terms, but be more neighborly instead of family (aka look after them, but don't get invested) 2. Only supply yourself with what you can afford, take what you need even if its from others (aka don't fly bling, but get it from the local convenience kill-shop ships that asplode on undock) 3. Expect to lose, a lot. 4. Clones, keep them updated 5. Block is your friend, use and abuse like a red headed step child in populated systems; close chat tab in trade hubs (cause we all need to read another anti-America or BLAH-BLAH-YADA-YADA wishful fix to highsec while you whiney carebear risk adverse trigger pullers are in highsec discussing it; irony meet kettle...cause if you are in highsec asking for another nerf for the carebear you are a carebear just as much as the one you complain about...supply locally from null/low or shut up about highsec risk adverse people you can still shoot at with CONCORD willing to shove a broom stick sideways where it won't be comfortable when you fire). |

Only two things.
1. That guy in local without the blue or green tag is most likely out to get you. 2. That guy in local with the blue or green tag is just less likely out to get you. 1 Throught 5, find a great leader and follow Him. www.minerbumping.com
One of the greatest leaders in New Eden today, is without a doubt, James315.
-James 315 is a visionary - seeking a greater, more dynamic New Eden. A New Eden unblemished by bot-aspirants trapped in dull AFK-style PVE gameplay. Never before has this been accomplished, as bots and uninspired game play has always been with us. But no more!
-James 315 is the Supreme Protector.
-James 315 leads from the front. He is tireless in the pursuit of his vision, not only inspiring through the words of www.minerbumping.com, but also demonstrating his mastery of The Code in the ice belts of New Eden, every day.
-James 315 has never been defeated in open combat since assuming the title of Savior of Highsec. Many have tried. Tales of his exploits in the Invincible Stabber are well known throughout New Eden, where he singlehandedly defeats numerous rebels in horribly beweaponed ships. Demonstrating, once again, that heavy shields and armor are nothing compared to faith in The Code.
-James 315 brought us The Code. It is his mission to spread it throughout highsec, pushing back the boundaries of bot-aspirancy. He frequently inspires the New Order with illustrative examples of what comprises both 'good' and 'questionable' moral character. "Goofus and Gallant" from the old Highlights magazine are used to further impress these lessons on those still lost in the nuance.
-James 315 is humble and only wields power because the current conditions in high-sec demand it. CCP's mismanagement of highsec is near-criminal - leaving it a wasteland of disinterested gameplay. James 315 understood that someone must step in on CCP's behalf and set things right. James 315 is a True Savior of Highsec!

Too bad the guy you are trying to glorify is just pantomiming TheMittani and everyone else who has successfully run a "burn highsec" aimed at miners last couple years.
