Any mission runners out there noticing if the Faction Standing towards their Corporation is dropping?
Here's the short version. In the last week my New Corps standing with the Amarr Empire has changed as follows: 3.00 -> 3.14 -> 3.07 -> 2.87 -> 2.81 -> 2.77 This is despite working for the Carthum Conglomerate and doing at least 1 Important mission per day!!
More Details:
I created a new corp recently and have been missioning in an effort to increase its standing with the Amarr Empire. First thing I noticed was the standings were only updated after each DT. Fine I keep going and eventually my corp reaches a standing of 3.00 in the middle of last week, but then does not change for at least 2 days in a row. I attempt to submit a bug report but the system appears broken (I made a post about it and it was fixed).
After the first of 3 recent crashes the game has experienced I find my standing has increased to 3.14, fine I figure the crash fix has resloved the issue. But again the next DT produces no change (not only to Faction standings, but to any, its not simply a case of not having done an Important Mission).
At this point I have one of my other characters join my corp. She has no standings with anyone, never missioned, but I decide to make a start with her. I realise this will of course hurt my Corps standings initially but I have reasons for doing this.
The 2nd of our recent crashes then drops my standing to 3.07. I think thats not too bad of a drop and continue missioning with both characters, this one using a L4 agent the other starting at L1 now using L2 Q16 agent. Over the last few DTs my Corps standing with the Amarr Empire has been dropping from 3.07 too 2.87 too 2.81 and just now too 2.77.
I dont get it, with the exception of yesterday and Sunday (iirc) both character have done at least 1 important mission per day! Why is it still dropping? I petitioned this 2 days ago and as yet have had no response. If this is normal, then fine, but I'd really like to know how this is supposed to work so I can guage my actions to get the standing I need asap. I've removed the roles of my alt and will kick her after 24 hours to see if that makes a positive change but at this point I'm not hopefull.
Anyway I'm just annoyed about the lack of response and wanted to vent. Maybe someone here has come across a similar problem. I hold little hope for an official response but it'd be nice to hear something. I love Eve but hate not being able to do what I should be able to do.

Your standing with amarr empire is 4.85
Your corps standing with the amarr empire is 2.77
Your corp has two members so 2 x 2.77 -4.85 = 0.69 for the other guys standing.
If this is not correct, then something is wrong.
I have read on the forums that changes to corp standings are gradual, BUT I cannot confirm this to be true. In fact my personal experience is quite the opposite. When a noob took a storyline for one of my Corps jumpclone corps our standing went from +8 to +4 in no time.

Other characters current standing with Amarr is 1.7, although she has done one Important mission today since DT and I'm not 100% sure what it was beforehand but I'm relatively sure it wasnt lower than 1.4, and if i'm wrong it certainly was over 0.7

NPC Corp -> Your corp standings change by something like 25% of the difference between the actual standing and the standing you should have. Each change happens at DT. There are a lot of threads with formulas about how this works in these forums.
However i noticed that you are complaining about a drop in faction standings, rather then an individual corp standings. Check my thread here: Linkage
Apparently killing n00b corp alts in any alliance wars, etc will bring down your standings with the noob corp, which in turn brings down your faction standing.
To check, show info on the Faction you need, click on "relationship", and choose "show composition" (or something) for your standings. It will show all corps that compose your standings for that faction. You may notice some corps in negative.

The corporations faction standing is based off the average of the *unmodified* faction standing (not including skills).
If you go to your corporate information page, under Politics, Standings, Liked By You can right-click on the faction and do 'Show Compositions'
What does that show for your second member?

Spal: good point, unmodified the other characters standing is actually 0.57
Hydra: thanks for the info and the link, tho I dont have any negative standings to Amarr Faction related corps. I'm a good boy ;)
So I guess its based on the difference between my two characters (this being 5.25 atm, was higher but I helped a friend kill some Amarrians for a Minmatar mission, but this was before I created this corp).
Anyway, I'll see what tomorrows DT brings, and maybe boot the alt for a while till she gets a decent faction standing.

Of course my brain is bleeding now that I've seen you all mangle the terms corporation and faction standings in ways that would twist anyone's grey mush into a hemorrhaging mess.
Faction stahnding = your standing with a faction
Corporation standing = your standing with a corporation != your corporation's standings
But since you somehow muddled through to a near-coherent solution, I'll only explain why your corporation's standings stopped balancing themselves towards the average:
Database maintenance
CCP habitually kills the triggers with db maintenance and if your corporation's standings stopped moving as they should, you'll need to trigger the balancing process again by having a constituent standing changed through missions.

Everything said followed the context of my original post and we all knew what we and each other meant. May not have made logical sense but we got our points across.
