What kind of offers do I get for these? I know you can sell them for a bit of cash in gallente space, but other then that what are they good for? and if anyone could tell me what amarr/gallente tags are good for aswell that'd be kewl.
P.S. why are there no minmatar tags?

The Minmatar tags are all named "Republic Fleet Captain Insignia I" etc. etc. That's probably why you missed them. ________________________________________________

AFAIK, the navy tags are just replacements for bounties one would normally get on pirates killed during missions, just like minerals are for drones. Because they aren't pirates, DED has not placed bounties on them, instead the factions who hate them have placed their own sort of bounty by offering to buy the tags as proof of their death. Caldari/Amarr tags are bought by the navy of Gallente/Minmatar, and vice versa. Additionally, each faction pair will kill you on-site if they catch you carrying the tags of their own navy or their ally's navy. The small factions have tags too, like Ammatar and Khanid and CONCORD. Criminal factions buy CONCORD tags of course.
The tags that agents request for offers are usually pirate tags, like Serpentis Silver, etc. Maybe pirate agents ask for CONCORD tags, or navy tags, but I've never gotten such an offer.

Ah, I see. So I can safely sell all those various military tags I've been hanging onto. They wont be required by some Agent for trade for an item in the future?

I wouldn't try that. I've done it the other way around - running against Gallente in Gallente space. As the mission got creepy, I warp out to a gate with LOTS of custom ships. took them about 15 seconds to blast my already damaged Domi to pieces -----------------------------------------------

This is not quite correct.
The tags are contraband in the owning faction's space and their allies, so you can't sell them on their market, but they won't shoot you for it. They'll send nasty eve hatemails, but that's about the extent of it.
However during the course of obtaining the tags, you shoot the faction ships, which causes your faction standing to drop. When this hits -5 unmodified, navy ships will spawn every time you enter their space and try to destroy you. They're escapable and not very tough, but they don't drop anything and they respawn.

Do have a close look on the aggro timer display in the upper left corner or you will be bbqwtfsmoked at the next gate or a station.
Tags are just good enough for factional hatemail. --*=*=*--

I haven't had any problem with this, even though I've been in the habit of killing Caldari ships in Caldari space for the last few months.
Maybe I've got special immunity though. I don't even get the tag hatemail. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I've had minmatar agents offer multi-million isk payments in return for Amarr navy tags, so just keep collecting them, but don't fly through amarr space with them.
