I'd like to know exactly which lvl agent gave out the miner 2 BP, as well as how many missions and what race they are. I've only just started doing agent missions with an alt as my main character is a couple of hours travel from my agents, and I'm always getting hassled to build stuff in my corp .
Also when the miner II's become public how much are they going to cost, also what would it cost to get a 20 run bpc?

In terms of the value of the Miner 2 bp, there are a couple of points you might want to consider:
1. Over time more and more BPs will come into play (I'm hoping for one myself, 200 level 3 missions done so far :-) ) and increased production will almost certainly lead to very substantial drops in cost. I think the estimate that someone quoted in terms of the numbers of people doing large numbers of agent missions is a lil low, theres a lot more doing agent missions now due to implants.
2. Mining lasers are a lot less likely to need replaced as much of the mining goes on in high sec space, combat equipment is going to be replaced more often for the simple reason that combat is riskier i.e. once the market is saturated there will be much less demand for Miner 2s.
3. Who know's what the future will bring :-) Just cos the Minmatar got lucky this time around doesn't mean they will the next time.

Edited by: Imogen sparrow on 10/10/2003 12:56:54 Hi.
The blue print was given to my CEO after the compleation of missions with a level 3 agent named Krigasand Eytteinn Completed = 272 Failed = 5
The BPC situation was dicused in the news artical, however, we will not be making any miner 2 BPCs. The reason being it's not economic to do so. It takes longer per output unit to produce BPCs than it does to produce lazers. Therefore the miner 2 bpcs would be more expencive than just buying that many lazers.

Makes sense no?
No.
Well, advanced research blueprinting skills will start to make the copying process faster than using the BP for 24/7 manufacturing, by reducing the time it takes to make a copy.
Your turn...

Quote: Actually, and somewhat off topic, expect yet more angst about the Miner II.
Essentially a row is brewing already over the distribution of the BPs gained via missions - the Miner II is of far higher "value" and is tech II , whereas all the other BP drops are for Tech I items not only of lower value but invariably also of modules used in the single number on ships (as opposed to up to eight for a Miner II).
As such there are those, as ever, ready to cause a stink over why there is such a amrked discrepancy in value of the BPs handed out via missions.
Personally Im not sure I give a hoot as BBBB will have a miner II original from next week also... and thats ontop f our existing SHield-Boost Amplifier.
It does go to show, however, that no matter what you do somebody will complain.
I feel sorry for those with Amarr agents.
They're doubly screwed - Worst implant, and worst BP reward from what I hear.
And I won't be bothering with my Gallente agent once I get enough cash from implants for a Megathron. An armor hardener just isn't worth running 300 missions. At least Gallente have a decent implant.
From what I've heard and experienced, the rundown of rewards is as follows:
Minmatar - Willpower implants starting at around 40-50 missions, averaging 1 every 10 missions or more once you hit 40-50. Miner II original at around 300ish missions. (Level 3 for a single agent for both of these stats.) Amarr - Charisma implants, explosive armor hardener BPs (same missioncount stats.) Caldari - Memory implants, shieldboost amplifier BPs. Gallente - Intelligence implants, another form of armor hardener. ------------ Ezra Cornell pe0n, Xanadu Corporation |
