Ok so I'm not the most knowledgeable on Sov war and stuff. From listening to alot of other players I keep hearing that Sov Warfare is broken and needs work. From my experience recently the revenant event by eve-bet I understand how time dilation can be a major buzz kill of the really big battles. While I don't think this will fix Sov Warfare or anything like that I do think it would be an interesting new feature.
My idea I think is rather simple a new module or ability for titans to be able to self destruct and wipe out every ship on grid and killing itself in the process. I also think that maybe the normal self destruct timer should be modified to either 5 or 10mins to give the enemy fleet a chance to kill the enemy titan.
Why do I think this is a good idea? Well I think it would help promote smaller fleets to operate across multiple systems as opposed to one massive battle in only 1 system. It would also provide a sort of nuclear option for a losing fleet whereby they could kill the enemy fleet at the expense of their own titan.
But I like being in the 1,000,000 man fleets what about them? Well I do think these battles are cool aswell but even the die-hards among us must admit that having to wait hours to even leave system is a major headache and annonce. I also think that this wouldn't kill massive fleet battles completely it would however mean that if one side chooses to jump in several supers and caps then there playing the risk of losing them all.
This guy is a total noob who knows nothing about null-sec and null-sec warfare. Yes I'd be the first to admit my knowledge of null-sec warfare is very limited but I do think his could be an interesting idea to discuss. If you don't like it well It was only an idea.
ps. Yes I know my English and grammar are terrible. |

This is not a good idea. This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine. |

I guess this is one way to avoid supercap supremacy issues.
Or more likely, everyone will just use fleets of supercarriers instead and try to jump out the moment an enemy titan appears. |

I like the idea, but think it needs to be limited to say 500k aoe damage. |

You have fallen prey to the argumentum ad hominem where you are attacking the person who proposed the idea as opposed to the idea itself.
This is not constructive nor does it prove your point. Perhaps if you had specific arguments against the idea you should post those. |

Coudl you imagine seeing a cargo-expander fit/rigged TITAN and thinking "thats a legitimate fit"? |

I came here really hoping the OP just said "dying" as was disappointed.
Also, if you use your search foo, there *are* cargo expanded titan kills out there. Remember, it came before the Rorqual and JFs. |

Ok so I've gotten a few responses which is cool. Well it would appear so far the majority of people are against this as an idea which I don't mind. I would however like to know why this would be so terrible as opposed to hearing things such as "No" and "this is not a good idea" or any other one liners which do little to explain why such an idea sucks.
It would also appear after reading the latest dev blog that ccp has it's own strategies of limiting capital and super-cap fleets in null which could make my idea pointless in the not so distant future. |

This would be hilarious. Absolute murder of everything is probably a bit much but fat aoe damage with a lengthy timer (to prevent tear-fuelled suicides once you're already dead) and... yeah, really like this.
Its excessively stupid in a totally excellent way and frankly I'd train for a Titan just to do it. Travelling at the speed of love. |
