You are killing npc 0.0.
If you want this to be reliable, you need to seed some more systems here and there or reshape regions.
Stain will be a madness. Venal too. Good luck living in NPC Fountain or even in Curse after this changes.
Even Catch that has a really weird shape will be ****** up.
And please don't say that a titan has to take gates to move. If titans are already nerfed to the ground this is just ridiculous. |

This is so great I've no word to express my joy.
These changes for sure will be a lot of null sec instability, but as someone already said stability is a good thing in real life, in a videogame stability equal to stagnation, which lead to boredom, and boredom leads to unsub.
One last thing, for all those people that are unsubbing, feel free to contract me your caps. |

Is anyone else excited to see Null open up to the possibility of invasion by smaller groups who don't have the support of 10yr old capital pilot characters who are all rage posting about quitting the game cause "my 30 acct's are useless now"?
I for one would like to see new life breathed into this game, and I just hope that CCP really ups their game with sov changes so that if bitter vets leave (cause their massive DPS toys cant instatravel all over the "wide" galaxy) at least the vacuum might be filled by new players excited for adventure and ready to shake up New Eden by taking Sov on their own.
Let's have a spaceship game where having lots of old players (Cap pilots) in your alliance is a major asset to holding Sov, not a major requirement. Then maybe more people will get interested in playing.
TLDR: CCP please market the **** out of SOV changes, and the next developments (player stargates) so that you draw new players to Eve. |

Congrats to CFC for winning the game. Blue donut FTW! After this batphones won't work and only the largest entities can muster large cap and supercap entities as others can't concentrate forces.
As for other secondary effects this will have on the game. Basic living in 0.0 will go down the drain. Did your daily setup involve traversing a jump bridge? Tough luck buddy, go through it twice and that ends your game time today. T2 production? Sorry friend. Can't move missing parts from other regions in a reasonable manner anymore.
Cool downs as game mechanics are bad gameplay and should be avoided. However if you feel the need to use them for Pete's sake, put a hardcap of 40min or something in there so that people have a reason to stay online after moving 2 jumps. |

These are some of the worst ideas I've ever seen. If these changes take place, most people (including myself) will just auction off their carriers and characters.
This was a good attempt on your part, but please take your ideas back to the drawing board and think things over! |

Anonymous Forumposter wrote:My opinion is that a great deal of the complaining stems from a lack of capacity to think about the big picture. Changes on this scale will both destroy and create new opportunities and gameplay. New mid way trade hubs, Increased industry in low and null to offset the challenges of longer trade routes. Haulers will likely hand off their cargo more so instead of cargo using a single JF from deep null to Jita, It will jump part way, and hand it off to the next pilot.
In terms of combat, it will require alliances to be far more strategic in when, where, and how they use their assets. If you choose to go the gate route, you open yourself up for ambushes and hit and run tactics to slow you down. You provide the defenders more time to gather their forces promoting larger scale and more strategic conflicts. Every fight and every asset lost has the potential to become more and more significant allowing attrition strategies to come into play more so than before. I'm sure the majority of the players complaining don't think about strategy this way, all they see is themselves and how they want to do everything when they want to do it. EVE is a large scale war and economy strategy simulator. Sometimes effective strategy means planning weeks, months, years? in advance. You want to talk about significant gameplay, These changes open the doors to making your 1 ship kill mean more than it did before. It also encourages you to think more about how you use your ship because losing it means you can't simply hop back in.
This is all very different from the gameplay most people are used to. This will undoubtedly "ruin eve" for some players. They will unsubscribe. Does that make it a bad change? No. The problem is players are enjoying and engaging in play styles that are detrimental to engaging and emergent gameplay. You want your actions to matter on the battle field? These changes give you that power.
By adding all these challenges, CCP gets time to find and implement more changes. Titans were designed with the thought of only a few EVER existing in the game. Players proved them wrong. NULL was never supposed to become what it is. It did anyway. The players will always find a solution and no solution CCP implements is likely to be perfect.
The very bottom line is, there is no way to fix this problem without upsetting players. It's been the norm for far too long and people have become accustomed to it. But it needs to be fixed, and that means disrupting people's play styles because some playstyle's are bad for EVE.
It won't create anything once people slit their wrist because deploying to "have fun" is more terrible than dying in a warm tub of water. |

Scarlet Intelis wrote:If this change is seriously going to be introduced into the game, I think there needs to be a separation of carrier's ability to move ships via the ship hangar. As is this ability will be completely useless, so maybe shift this ability to another ship that has no offensive capabilities ?
Carriers are used in giant "wrecking ball" fleets now, but to most people their main purpose is as a suitcase. I wouldn't have any problem with this change, and I think most other people wouldn't either, if something could replace this ability, as this is how most medium, smaller mobile entities find content via deployments.
Maybe a ship with a 16ly max jump range, with a 1.25 million ship hangar bay. This is my main concern. Something does need to be done to nerf the ridiculous power projection caps bring, but this also completely nerfs carriers for personal logistics, and that use of carriers didn't seem to be causing any problems in nullsec. |

The primary change is the addition of a new mechanic, called "CCP fatigue".
Jump 1 I started the game, hence my CCP fatigue was 0. I trained for hybrids since they were awesome. Hybrids were nerfed. CCP fatigue was increased from 0 to 50.
Jump 2 I trained for minmatar and the hurricane since they were awesome. 0.0 was my new playground. Fleet fights escalated, number wise, and became unplayable lag-wise. CCP fatigue was still at 50 and now it is increased five fold to 250.
Jump 3 0.0 was unplayable so i went into wormhole space and lost a typhoon, the same day wormholes were released. It was beautiful and CCP fatigue was decreased to 0.
Jump 4 Still no repackaging, refitting or assembling modular ships at a POS. CCP fatigue was increased to 50.
Jump 5 Nerfs to my income from wh-space. CCP fatigue was ragingly increased to 500.
Jump 6 Long break from eve. I forget about CCP fatigue.
Jump 7 Come back to eve. Some accounts do not have hours for PLEX. Some accounts are deep in W-space without scanners. Fight insurmountable odds to get back to eve. I remember about CCP fatigue again.
Jump 8 Near all mains on all accounts can fly capitals. Nerf to jumping. CCP fatigue RISING.
No but seriously. Trying to revitalize eve and especially 0.0. Good. Nerfing jumpdrives in hotdrop protection. Bad. The look on most eve players face right now. Priceless. |

From now on CCP, when making a change, ask yourself if the change makes the game more tedious. If the answer is yes, trash it. This game cannot stand more tedium - you forget that the players are not paid to play. Life is tedious - games should never be.
Do NOT nerf jump freighters. You are basically taking a dump down the throats of every logistics pilot in the game, and I know I speak for all of us when I say that we've already had enough. If anything JF range should be buffed so us logistics pilots can spend at least SOME time having fun in eve. |

These changes are just so bad, I didnt think it was possible to read such lolz. Not that anyone cares but I just returned to eve from taking a break, getting RL things done, the next reason I leave Eve will not be a simple break, it will be this. There are far better workarounds for the issues at hand than this absolute garbage.
The Cyno, limit of players jumping through to it sounds good, lets do that. or

I see how this can play in favour of other planned/discussed changes like the sov system, but I think this will be a bit of a rough patch in the short and even medium term for players.
deep nullsec will be with these changes "as propose" effectively sealed off from newer players/corps/alliances, battles will change drastically until people adapt. I'm guessing a lot of local groups and caches will be seeded. And lowsec will get....interesting in the chinese sense.
I'm not saying all of this is bad. I really want to see how this plays out, but I don't get the feel that this has been properly gamed out by CCP.

1) In the past you guys have said that CCP will be attempting to measure the effects of changes that have been made to evaluate the change. What criteria will you be using to measure this change? What measurable things will you be looking at to decide if this change was good or bad?
2) POS jump bridges are supposed to be a reward for holding space. Shouldn't there be some sort of reduce fatigue from using them vs using a titan bridge? Otherwise, why would sovholding alliances build and pay for them? 1) Don't have that to hand atm. 2) "Supposed to be"? If an alliance wants to rip down all its bridges and just use titans, best of luck to them.
On the one hand you have tiericide trying to make no modules worthless, on the other hand you answer that you are ok with making game mechanics useless.
