Guess it may be time to rethink the tradehub structures in eve... ...maybe moving into locations at the outer boundaries of highsec so traders could get easily deeper into null at every direction could give the whole market a new landscape
market is in chaos anyway these days
btw interesting possibilities dont know what to think about that whole thing, yet |

First you make it cost more to do jumps now your going to cut our jump range by a third and add a timer...
Do you people even think?
So while you wait out your timer you can go play other games, and who knows you might find one you like even more than Eve...oh wait, was I not supposed to say that? |

I like this IF the timers or fatigue are attached to the ship. ItGÇÖs the shipGÇÖs jump drive that needs to cool, refuel and spin-up. The pilot was safe and warm in his capsule, itGÇÖs the same to him for a stargate, jump portal or whatever.
If attached to the pilot whatGÇÖs to stop a big corp from swapping pilots mid-route to get an asset moved.
This also negates some of the unfairness that time-dilation imposes on the people in a ti-diGÇÖd system.

Capitals using gates please no. (300 man carrier roam anyone ?) Don't affect the Jumpfreighters please. Make the jumpdelaythingietimerstuff shipbound or we will have someone jumping their capital 5ly, eject ship, enter ship with new character, and so on. Other then this, go ahead I approve.

I for one would like to see new life breathed into this game, and I just hope that CCP really ups their game with sov changes so that if bitter vets leave (cause their massive DPS toys cant instatravel all over the "wide" galaxy) at least the vacuum might be filled by new players excited for adventure and ready to shake up New Eden by taking Sov on their own.
Let's have a spaceship game where having lots of old players (Cap pilots) in your alliance is a major asset to holding Sov, not a major requirement. Then maybe more people will get interested in playing.
TLDR: CCP please market the **** out of SOV changes, and the next developments (player stargates) so that you draw new players to Eve.
Pray tell what part of sov null you expect to be open? If anything these changes forces alliances to defend all their space with focus on systems that could be used as an invasion. Taking Fountain for example, there is ONE system in range of Hophib under the new mechanics .. good luck getting ANYTHING into that system without a forceful response. |

Good job, CCP, good job..
Blops can be avoided and countered: be alert, stay aligned et cetera. There's no viable counter measure against cloaky camping. Please explain why killing off blops is a good thing, instead of killing off cloaky camping?
Move to the next system. Set up a camp at the gate. If cloaky camper follows blow up cloaky camper If he doesn't (he probably won't - he's afk) continue with carebearing

I applaud these changes CCP.
Bravo. I really did not think you had it in you.
It's a brave move. And a brave move is what null needed. I hope it's the first of many.
At the very least it will shake things up a bit. Which is what this game (and the business behind this game) needs badly.
You may want to consider upping the number of entries between regions / security space.

so if I only get to play 1-2 hours a day and im a pilot that helps supply null then I will be stuck with fatigue meaning the game is more work than game? gj CCP. |

man i cannot wait till you realize just how badly you ****** up
WHY? is it going to get any worse? we cant use any of our capital forces EVER anyway except a few ninja runs or we get blobbed off grid everytime.... we are in the midst of the CFC in a perma campaign against you.... what else are you going to do? you tried to hell camp us..so we move to another system..big deal.... you meta game us to hell.... spies and metgaming every day.... and you cant break us... so what are you going to do now? we RF an infrastructure hub in EWOK...and the CFC response..... there is LITERALLY nothing you can do to make our existance worse or harder in 0.0 , we already live in the middle of the CFC..with little to no outside support...

as a non-jump capable pilot, atm, my favorite bit was this...
CCP Greyscale wrote: ...capital ships will be able to use stargates, but will for the time being they will still be barred from entering Highsec...
but really, why *stop* the supers from jumping into hisec?
no, really, hear me out on this one...
everyone is always chanting "death to supers," right? so why not let them use the stargate to get in? CCP just needs to do two things as soon as they land in hisec: -- immediately give that cap aggro from whichever empire navy they encounter first -- and flag them "suspect" to all capsuleers
emergent gameplay? check... fewer supers in new eden? check... giant frickin space fights in hi-sec? check...

At this point his cooldown timer is 2 hours 2 minutes 8 seconds, and his fatigue is 706.74. At this point his total distance travelled is 17.51 LY, leaving him with 37.04 LY to go. He looks at his map, and finds a 40-route jump through nullsec to get to the same destination, and figuring two minutes per system, his warp travel time for the whole journey is a bit over half the cooldown for his next jump. He decides to throw his computer out the window. |

Holy freakin crap you're actually going to do it. Capitals using gates *drools*. This is huge and my eve-related interest has spiked once more. Ooo, that's a good feeling. I'd like to add that capitals in highsec at some point (given appropriate measures to ensure game balance i.e. balancing capitals with subcaps) is something I would like to see.
Just want to point out the needless complexity of having two separate cooldown timers for jump drives. Keep it simple, guys. X |

Maybe I'm missing something but surely this just makes the bigger corps/alliances stronger?
You take over a corner of space, you only need to protect the borders because nobody has the range to jump in beyond you, and if they do they are stuck with such large timers that you can activate your defense fleet and destroy them before they can get away. which allows you to have minimal forces within the boundary where you can rent away or operate with impunity.
I'm still waiting to see how small corps alliances benefit |
